Abstract

The solar energy is very popular amongst the non-conventional energy sources. In PV based water pumping system boost converter is utilized for maximum power point tracking followed by a motor inverter. The proposed work present a novel solution of multifunction converter, which is able to operate SPV array at its maximum power by utilizing same VSI deployed for motor inverter. The maximum power point tracks (MPPT) using perturb and observe algorithm is proposed to increase the efficiency of energy conversion with MFC. This paper presents the simulation model of PV based water pumping system using BLDC motor with and without MPPT.
