However, depends on our analysis, the proportion of control overhead in channel efficiency has increased by up to 30.1%. By increasing the transmission rate of the control signals, it is possible to improve I/O bandwidth of NFM by 11.6%. However, this method can lead to reliability problems. Thus, we propose error detection schemes in order to compensate the reliability of the control signals. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme can improve the I/O bandwidth by about 11.1% and have a reliability for burst errors.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115503461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For medical field, the concerns were related to physical injuries and stress due to either bad environment or bad working behaviors. In technological field, the main concern was to find a proper solution to prevent and raise awareness to these issues. In this paper, we discussed the possibility of using unsupervised learning for clustering office working behavior to show the relationship of the working behavior and stress level. We used the data collected from the device which include both behavior data and environment data. The results successfully demonstrated the two clusters that represents the working behavior related to either high or low stress level. The results can be used further to develop a classification model and to raise awareness in office workers.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"463 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125814656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of dementia symptoms can be only detected by housemates when they notice some changes in behaviors of elderly people. Therefore, it is difficult to detect the early symptoms of dementia in elderly people living alone. We focused on wandering which is typical symptom of dementia. We proposed the system to detect wandering symptom based on sensors data using Hidden Markov Model (HMM). We installed sensors to acquire elderly people behavior. Then, we created normal behavior model based on these sensors data using HMM. After that, we compare between this pattern model and detected behavioral pattern. When the detected behavioral pattern did not much with this pattern model, the system will classify the behavior as a wandering symptom. In this paper, we proposed the method which is a creation of normal behavior model. We verified whether our proposal method can estimate behavioral tendency of healthy elderly subject's living alone using two months' sensor data. The result suggested that this method can create a behavior model with considering about subject's habits.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129698422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An alternative method to detect heat stroke is realized by using participatory sensing method. Participatory sensing is a method or an approach to extract any kind of data from the communities which can be used for beneficial purpose. In this study, we used smartphones of the pedestrians to collect information such as humidity and air temperature. The data is collected by using the internal environmental sensors of the smartphone itself. Then, this data is used to detect heat stroke in real-time and the map to detect the risk of heatstroke is generated to show where the heat stroke could possibly occur in a specific location according to the location of the pedestrian. In this study, there is no need to install many outdoor sensors in order to monitor the environment but instead, we can use moving sensors which are in this study, would be the smartphones of the pedestrians.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123743149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The level of LFN in TFET is observed much higher than that of MOSFET. That is because LFN in TFET is largely affected by the tunneling probability and fluctuation of tunneling probability is much more vulnerable to electric field induced traps than that of carrier number and mobility described as LFN mechanism of MOSFET.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132731165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Meanwhile, a consistency protocol causes control traffic overhead as it enforces data accesses that originated from a controller to a specific network state partition to be redirected through networks to another controller who contains leader replica for the partition. In order to address the issue, we propose an optimal leader selection scheme that minimizes the control traffic caused by the data access redirections while preventing controllers from being overloaded. Preliminary simulation results show that the optimal leader selection scheme can achieve lower control traffic overhead than a load-based selection scheme.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116001160","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose a pulse energy modulation (PEM) based precoding scheme for SWIPT, motivated from Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP). The goal of the proposed scheme is reducing the transmission power. We utilize selection diversity from combining PEM and THP to achieve the goal. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme effectively reduces transmission power and outperforms the conventional SWIPT.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121020985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, it may still not be enough as some input images may cover the same part of the fingerprint. Therefore, we propose a novel enrollment scheme capturing all input images at one time by rubbing the finger on a sensor without touching-off during the whole enrollment process. Then, optimal image selection is followed for selecting best images among all input images to maximize the fingerprint coverage with less number of enrollment images. Experimental results showed that Equal Error Rate (EER) is about 30% improved compared to the conventional enrollment scheme.","PeriodicalId":413646,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121522563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
