En el poema LV del Tarǧumān de Ibn ʿArabī, la aniquilación del primer dístico encuentra su cénit en la contemplación extática del tercero en forma de fulgor: «El deseo me aniquila cuando estás ausente /…/ Pues siempre que Le hallo, contemplo una figura… en esplendor…». Su expresión poética moderna se halla en el verso de Les Noces d’Hérodiade, de Mallarmé, en el que Herodías lanza la cabeza de San Juan por la ventana: «Jusqu’à l’horizon mort en un dernier éclat». El «Cántico de San Juan» es el himno de la cabeza cortada volando, del filo de la guadaña a la luz, hacia el «pur regard». In the poem LV, from the Tarǧumān, by Ibn ‘Arabī, the annihilation of the first distich finds its zenith in the ecstatic contemplationof the third in the form of glare: «Desire annihilates me when you are absent / ... / For whenever I find Him, I contemplate a figure... in splendour...». Its modern poetic expression is found in the verse of Les Noces d’Hérodiade, by Mallarmé, in which Herodias throws the head of Saint John through the window: «Jusqu’à l’horizon mort en un dernier éclat». The «Canticle of St. John» is the hymn of the severed head flying, from the edge of the scythe to the light, towards the «pur regard». Crespo","doi":"10.6018/AZUFRE.332431","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.6018/AZUFRE.332431","url":null,"abstract":"Resumen: Bill Viola se asoma al universo de Ibn ʿArabī, bebe de la belleza de sus paradojas y las concreta, a su vez, en enigmáticas paradojas visuales.En este artículo presentamos una reflexión sobre la cualidad simbólica del negro en la obra de Viola y su relación con el silencio del corazón. Como, desde este silencio interno, se penetra en una dimensión lucida de la conciencia, en el intermundo del barzaḫ (mundo imaginal). Las formas de Viola nacen y se diluyen en un Negromaravilloso, Noche de Luz, Negro de la sabiduría que todo lo contiene y en el que se disuelven los colores cambiantes de los estados.Mediante el uso paradójico del tiempo, la luz y el espacio, la obra de Viola induce a una experiencia contemplativa, a un conocimiento por degustación, que en el sufismo se denomina saboreo (ḏawq). La temporalidad de sus imágenes produce un distanciamiento del tiempo cuantitativo y nos conduce a un silencio interno, lo queIbn ʿArabī denomina silencio del corazón. Color.Abstract: Bill Viola approaches Ibn ʿArabī’s universe, drinks from the beauty of his paradoxes and he even specifies them in visual enigmatic paradoxes.In the following article, we present a reflection about the symbolic quality of the black color in Viola’s work and the relation it has with the heart’s silence, explaining how, from the inner silence, we seek into a lucid dimension of conscience in the interworld barzaḫ’s interworld (imaginal world). Viola’s figures are born and then areblurred within a marvelous Black, a Light night, a Black of wisdom that contains everything and in which colors of changing states are dissolved.By the paradoxical use of time, light and space, Viola’s work leads to a contemplative experience which is a knowledge related to taste, a sufi term that means tasting (ḏawq). The temporary nature of Viola’s images produces a distancing from quantitative time and it takes us to an inner silence that Ibn ʿArabī calls the heart’s silence. Se sometió a la realidad única que abarca todo y no se asoció con nada más. Esta sumisión a lo más esencial comienza en un nivel unificado que trasciende la diversidad de las formas de creencia. El místico murciano, Ibn ʿArabī, relata cómo estuvo bajo la protección de Moisés, Jesúsy Muhammad, los mensajeros de estas tres religiones monoteístas. Tuvo una relación cercana con Abraham, la cual es explorada por referencia a sus propios relatos e historias coránicas y bíblicas. En el Corán, a Abraham se le conoce como el “Ḫalīl”, el amigo íntimo de Dios. Abraham se sacrificó a sí mismo, representado por su hijo en forma de carnero, y se impregnó de cualidades divinas. Estaba rebosante de amor divino y presente a la Realidad en todo momento. Los escritos de Ibn ʿArabī muestran cómo esta figura atemporal representa una presencia que subyace a la diversidad de creencias y está disponible para toda la humanidad.Palabras clave: Abraham. He submitted to the One Reality which encompasses everything and associated nothing else with that. This submission to what is most essential starts at a unified level which transcends the diversity of forms of belief. The Murcian mystic, Ibn ʿArabī, relates how he came under the protection of Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, the messengers of these three monotheistic religions. He had a close relationship with Abraham, which is explored by reference to his own accounts and Quranic and bibical stories. In the Quran, Abraham is referred to as the “Khalīl”, the intimate friend of God. Abraham sacrificed his own self, as represented by his son in the form of a ram, and became permeated by divine qualities. He was suffused with divine love and present to the Reality at everymoment. Ibn ʿArabī’s writings show how this timeless figure represents a presence which underlies the diversity of beliefs and is available to the whole of humanity.Key words: Abraham. Ḫalīl Allāh. La peculiarità di questo testo è la presenza di alcune tabelle e figure, che vengono appunto richiamate nella prima parte del titolo, e l’indicazione grafica delle connessioni tra i vari elementi della figura mediante delle linee. Queste connessioni non sono però puramente concettuali, bensì sono reali, e vengono chiamate fini o minute realtà: non si tratta di una immagine statica di corrispondenze bensì di una rete dinamica di connessioni che canalizzano influenze, come è riportato nella seconda parte del titolo. Nel corso della trattazione vengono anche esposte i quattro gradi di esistenza, le classi dei non-esistenti, i tre gradi delle cose ed in particolare la “terza cosa”, che non è né esistente né non-esistente, le classi degli esistenti, le dieci categorie, le classi dei Nomi divini e la causa dell’inizio del Mondo e della sua genesi. La traduzione del trattato è stata effettuata sul più antico manoscritto disponibile, conservato a Manissa in Turchia, di cui è presentata anche l’edizione in arabo, ed è accompagnata dalla traduzione dei brani di altre opere di Ibn ʿArabī in cui essa è citata.Parole chiave: Uomo Universale. Nomi divini.Abstract: The main subject of this short treatise of Ibn ʿArabī, written before al-Futūḥāt al-Makkiyya, is the Man, created upon the form both of the creatures and of the Creator. The peculiarity of this work is the presence of tables and figures, quoted in the first part of the title, along with a graphic representation of the connections between the various elements of the figure through lines. These connections are not merely conceptual, they are real and are called fine or minute realities: this hasnothing to do with a picture of static correspondences, but with a dynamic network of connections which are channelling influences, as it is reported in the second part of the complete title.While dealing with the main subject Ibn ʿArabī also explains the four degrees of existence, the classes of non-existent things, the three degrees of things and particularly the “third thing” which is neitherexistent nor non-existent, the classes of existent things, the ten categories, the classes of Divine Names and the cause of the beginning of the World and of its genesis. The translation has been carried out on the oldest known manuscript, kept in the Manisa Library in Turkey and whose Arabic edition is here joined along with the translation of passages of other works of Ibn ʿArabī in which this treatise is mentioned.Keywords: Universal Man.
