A questionnaire was developed built upon previous studies. A survey was then conducted, which received 267 useful responses. The results suggested that users perceive mobile game differently with regard to experience and gender difference. It is suggested that the users who have more computer game experience will be more likely to develop positive perceptions on mobile game. Also male users are more possible to positively perceive mobile game and to play mobile game.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124739453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Reflections and scattering from foliages, collision of simultaneous transmissions, attenuation of the signal, and many other factors make transmission worse and worse. And conditions become extremely awful in dense WSNs. We designed several experiments for studying packet delivery in dense wireless sensor networks, the most basic aspect of wireless communicating, in different environments: small woods and an outdoor parking lot in a college. We calculated the packet reception ratio and analyzed the spatial correlation of it which deeply impacts the performance of data acquisition of wireless sensor networks.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124801850","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fully polarimetric interferometric data in X band was acquired by a China-made airborne SAR system in January 2010, over the Linshui area in Hainan province. This study focuses on man-made targets extraction in Linshui area, where the ground survey allows the validation of the final extraction results. Different PolSAR (polarimetric SAR) and PolInSAR(polarimetric interferometric SAR) feature indicators, such as H/A/α,based on the Pauli formalism or an optimal set of coherences are subsequently analyzed and the representatives of features are selected. In order to consider effect of man-made targets extraction with different feature indicators, the SVM method is investigated. The results based on PolSAR, PolInSAR and combined PolSAR and PolInSAR features are respectively compared, the best result is obtained via combining PolSAR and PolInSAR features.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127073226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An improved formant model based on the linear prediction (LP) feature analysis and a two-dimensional(2D) hidden Markov model (HMM) of formants is employed for estimation of the formant frequencies of vowels and diphthongs. The experiments show Guangzhou dialectal PTH (GZPTH) has the highest average frequency in 1st formant(F1) while Shanghai PTH(SHPTH) has lowest of F1 among four dialectal PTHs. In contrast, Chongqing PTH (CQPTH) gives highest frequency in 2nd and 3rd formants (F2, F3) with a comparison of other dialectal PTHs. The formant spaces of four dialectal PTHs have also been investigated.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127281473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
