Based on cyclostationary properties of Discrete Multi-tone (DMT) signal, we select appropriate cyclic suffix length of DMT signal in the transmitter side such that the receiver reserves the insertion loss channel information of the discussed line and crosstalk channels information from other lines on the chosen tone, while the insertion loss channel effects from other lines and the crosstalk effect on the current line from other users on the chosen tone are all zeros. Then the insertion loss and crosstalk channels can respectively be estimated from received data on each line. Computer simulation results based on real measured data verify that the proposed method can estimate both the insertion loss and crosstalk channels. Furthermore, compared to the previous works, the new method has lower estimation errors and is easy to be implemented.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130654160","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The modeling domain consists of the membrane, two catalyst layers, two diffusion layers, and two channels. It is simulation of species mass fraction in this paper. The results of simulation proved that gravity exerts the effect on the water transport when fuel cell is put with anode-upward or cathode-upward. On analyzing of pictures, it got conclusion as follow: Oxygen mass fraction in cathode of fuel cell with cathode-upward is higher than that with anode-upward because of the effect of gravity. Oxygen mass fraction decreases along with channel and thickness of fuel cell due to electrochem reaction consuming, water production in the cathode catalyst layer and the transport of water from the anode side.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130434714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several different types of approximations to optical flow equation are presented to modify the optical flow constraint. By using Gaussian smoothing filter to image sequence before the motion estimating, a lattice Boltzmann-BGK equation is established. The computation upon the method involves iterations. The experimental results show that the estimating algorithm works well, and the lattice Boltzmann method solution of optical flow equation based on Gaussian smoothing is effective.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127889600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The existing researches on spatial data quality mostly focused on how to evaluate spatial data quality, but few studies on efficiency. With an in depth study on the characteristics of multilayer relationship, we first proposed an universal spatial multilayer relationship checking module(SMRCM), then based on SMRCM, we designed a parallel algorithm and experimented on the small-scale multi-core processor systems. The experiment results show our parallel algorithm can significantly improve the multilayer relationship checking efficiency. Finally this algorithm was implemented in a prototype software, and now is using to examine Zhejiang province's land plan spatial data quality.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131316595","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Desorption of contaminants from soil is a critical process controlling the availability of soil contaminants and thus the risk associated with contaminated soil. All the currently adopted desorption models greatly simplify desorption by assuming that desorption is a simple reverse of adsorption. However, numerous studies have shown that desorption is indeed biphasic. A new dual-equilibrium desorption (DED) model to account for the biphasic desorption has been developed and tested using a wide range of laboratory data. In this paper, field data of major rivers in China were modeled with the DED isotherm and the linear isotherm. Results in the present study indicate that the DED model can more accurately quantify desorption of contaminants from soil and sediments, which proposed the application of the dual-equilibrium desorption model.","PeriodicalId":412601,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129203918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
