Huda","doi":"10.2991/assehr.k.220104.048","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2991/assehr.k.220104.048","url":null,"abstract":"This article analyzes and discusses the implementation of values, models, and strategies of multicultural Islamic education in elementary schools using a qualitative approach with multi-site in SD YPPSB 3 and SDN 002 Sangatta. The author collects data through interviews, FGDs, and explores several relevant references, documents, and other relevant data. This study aims for students to be more active, creative, critical and have literacy skills. Most of students still interpret literacy as a form of reading activities and teachers must adjust the material literacy to be effective. With regard to social skills, it is intended that in the implementation of the application of social science learning, students are able to interact with their friends so that they may work together with one another. This study used qualitative method to solve the research problems, to guide researchers to explore and to take pictures widely which would be investigated more deeply related to activities or the implementation of literacy in learning activities in order to improve students’ social skills. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. This study proved that literacy-based social science learning was very influential on improving students’ social skills. It was proven by the seriousness in learning when the students discussed and interacted well in conveying the results of the discussion of learning materials. Outside of learning, most students were polite and friendly both between friends and with other teachers. The research used a case study in a qualitative approach that consist of some techniques in data collection such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The conclusions of the research are the resilience of Salaf Islamic boarding schools in implementing the function of Islamic education in the era of Society 5.0 relied on the social capital of Kiai , the existence of Kitab Kuning study, the attachment of pesantren to NU organizations, a sense of attachment to the community, the affiliation of the pesantren with the government, and the participation of students in the community. These components were the factors that support the resilience of the Salaf Islamic Boarding School from the negative effects of the disruption era. Unfortunately, there were still inhibiting factors, such as the misuse of utilization in technical communication and social media that were used by the students.
