Educators are required to be selective in choosing assessment methods relevant to the four Arabic language competencies and suitable for use online. This study aims to determine the online assessment methods and assessment media used by Arabic language teachers to evaluate their students’ literacy in Arabic learning. This research is survey research. This study involved 87 Arabic teachers from 45 Public Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Public Senior High School) in South Kalimantan. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. The data from close-ended questionnaires were analyzed and presented in descriptive methods. The data from open-ended was analyzed by reviewing each response, discovering themes in the verbatim statement, coding, and grouping the topics. The results of this study indicate that the assessment methods most often used by teachers are multiple-choice, true-false, short answer, and performance. The assessment method most students respond to is multiple-choice, true-false, and short answers. Cahyono, Makmun Hidayat","doi":"10.2991/assehr.k.220104.037","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2991/assehr.k.220104.037","url":null,"abstract":"This study aimed to evaluate the performance of e-Learning Madrasah and the constraints while using e-Learning Madrasah at MIN 1 Kota Malang (Islamic State Elementary School) during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted by applying a phenomenological approach which is naturally qualitative. Thus, in collecting the data, the researchers did an unstructured interview with six participants, who were purposively selected. The result from the interview, then analyzed by some existing evaluation, Learning Management systems, online learning theories, and student’s literacy. The researchers found that e-Learning Madrasah needed several improvements based on the problems faced by the teachers and students. An online meeting feature called video conference should be upgraded. Hence, the number of users of the video conference feature will increase significantly and support the online learning process. Moreover, the learning and scoring system need an integrated advancement. Hence, it will ease the teachers’ and students’ work. The teachers often face some significant problems, whereas the students only need a CBT’s feedback, in general. A theoretical analysis represented that e-Learning Madrasah was an effective media to support online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at MIN 1 Kota Malang. The method used was qualitative-hermeneutic. The results showed: Psycho-sufistic personality: return to the truth (taubat); be alert, free from doubt (wara’); free from worldly and self-conceit (zuhud); free from desire (faqr) ; courage and grace (sabar); trust and surrender (tawakkal), and feel satisfied and happy (ridha). The Psycho-sufistic condition channeled therapeutic energy through feedback techniques, logical consequences, and psychoeducation. Psycho-sufisticity also appeared in qaulan baligha (the words that make heart touched); qaulan ma’rufa , (polite speech); qaulan sadidan , (enlightening words); qaulan kariman (noble words); qaulan layyinan (soft words); qaulan maysuran (words giving a sense of optimism).
