This is the framework of Pansu’s conjecture about the shape of isoperimetric sets. Two different approaches are considered. On one hand we describe the isoperimetric problem in Grushin spaces, under a symmetry assumption that depends on the dimension and we provide a classification of isoperimetric sets for special dimensions. On the other hand, we present some results about the isoperimetric problem in a family of Riemannian manifolds approximating the Heisenberg group. In this context we study constant mean curvature surfaces. Inspired by Abresch and Rosenberg techniques on holomorphic quadratic differentials, we classify isoperimetric sets under a topological assumption.","PeriodicalId":41199,"journal":{"name":"Bruno Pini Mathematical Analysis Seminar","volume":"8 1","pages":"102-120"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2018-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44933982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In many settings in complex dynamics one can define periodic curves (called dynamic rays) in the dynamical plane and study their relation with periodic points. The most famous example of this kind of results is the Douady-Hubbard landing theorem for polynomial dynamics. We describe an analogous statements for transcendental maps which satisfy some growth conditions and a further generalization to general transcendental maps with bounded postsingular set, without any growth assumption. We also describe some implications for rigidity. The operators are assumed to be endowed with a well behaved global fundamental solution that allows us to construct a generalized solution in the sense of Perron-Wiener of the Dirichlet problem. Then, we give a criterion of regularity for boundary points in terms of the behavior, close to the point, of the fundamental solution of the involved operator. We deduce exterior conetype criteria for operators of Kolmogorov-Fokker-Planck-type, for the heat operators and more general evolution invariant operators on Lie groups. Our criteria extend and generalize the classical parabolic-cone condition for the classical heat operator due to Effros and Kazdan. Discuteremo la struttura di basi e frames ottenute da orbite di rappresentazioni unitarie di gruppi discreti in sottospazi invarianti di spazi di Hilbert separabili. Tali spazi invarianti possono essere caratterizzati, attraverso intrallacciamenti, come moduli il cui anello dei coefficienti e dato dall'algebra di von Neumann del gruppo, e sono dotati inoltre di una mappa sesquilineare a valori in spazi di operatori di convoluzione densamente definiti, che definiscono una struttura di Hilbert. Si puo mostrare che i frames e le basi associate a famiglie numerabili di orbite hanno una controparte in queste strutture di Hilbert, che ammettono sistemi riproducenti. Questi risultati estendono nozioni chiave di analisi di Fourier e wavelets a sistemi piu generali che possono includere trasformazioni geometriche per gruppi cristallografici o rappresentazioni di gruppi di Heisenberg discreti.","PeriodicalId":41199,"journal":{"name":"Bruno Pini Mathematical Analysis Seminar","volume":"7 1","pages":"36-52"},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2017-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41338718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
