The condition of the body and the skin is also influenced by additional dietary supplements, synthetic multi-ingredient preparations, especially the ones containing ingredients selected for their beneficial effects on the skin. The aim of the study was to describe the influence of dietary supplementation and the functional food for the condition of the skin, including preparations containing various nutrients and special-purpose food, which can have a beneficial effect on the skin and its healthy appearance. The aim of the study was to assess the safety and rationalize the use and dosage of photoprotective cosmetics. Skin tolerance and the effectiveness of cosmetic formulations were confirmed and the key ingredients were selected to minimize the appearance of dermatoses. The level of hydration, elasticity, lubrication, transepidermal water loss and the pH value of skin of volunteers were measured. {"title":"Cosmetic services market – conditions and development perspectives in the opinion of beauty salon owners","authors":"M. The aim of the article was to present the results of surveys directed to the owners of beauty salons in Krakow. The surveys focused on the conditions and development perspectives of the cosmetic services market in Poland. The research was carried out using the in-depth interview technique, which took the form of a direct conversation between the researcher and the respondent. The presented results are a part of the research carried out in connection with the project entitled “Analysis of the cosmetics services market in Krakow – the current state and development perspectives (with particular emphasis on educational aspects and the labor market)” accomplished in 2018-2019 by the Interdepartmental Research Team at University of Physical Education in Krakow. Comprehensive design studies were carried out with the use of various research methods and techniques among the owners and managers of beauty salons located in Krakow and other cities of the Małopolska Province. A research was conducted based on 25 studies on wart removal with salicylic acid, pyruvic acid and formic acid, retinoids, 5-fluorouracil, phenol, occlusion, lasers: CO2, KTP, Nd:Yag, Er:Yag, pulse-dye, cryotherapy, electrocoagulation and surgical method. Due to the complex etiopathogenesis and difficulties in their reduction, specialists use various therapeutic methods. In this study, the described case confirms the effectiveness of selected combined therapy in reducing stretch marks and skin laxity. They take part in all vital processes in the organisms and are responsible for young and healthy appearance of the skin. Each of the vitamins is characterized by individual properties and their own way of activity. The aim of the study was to present the most common vitamins in cosmetic products and their influence on the condition of the skin, hair and nails. Vitamin deficiency can cause not only changes and diseases inside the body, but also may impair skin conditionssuch as: altered tone, grayish and bruising around eyes, visible blood vessels, discoloration and lack of elasticity.
