Recently, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, women have had to step into different lanes and transition from traditional duties into roles that center on the aftermath of the pandemic. An increase in stay-at-home duties allocated for a lot of women to shift from their normal routines towards household needs. There was also an influx in domestic violence against women and the need for reinforcing preventive measures as it came to safety concerns for women. This qualitative study analyzes research that illustrates gender trends that occurred as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Further research is needed to illustrate how to overcome the ongoing economic risks and hardships that women still face.","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128193032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two American social scientists; Barney Galland Glaser (1930-2022) and Anselm Leonard Strauss (1916-1996) have founded it in 1967. Since the start of grounded theory in social science researches in 1967; more than 50 years have passed, and it has been using in many branches of social science, such as in nursing, healthcare, physiotherapy, education, economics, anthropology, sociology, political science, psychology, etc. Straussian grounded theory is a very well-known qualitative analysis in the world, and it explores dynamic and new phenomena. Straussian grounded theory researchers do not build their research on prearranged hypotheses; instead, they develop theory of wellbeing for the humanity from the collected data of the reality. In this article an overview and significance of Straussian grounded theory for the qualitative research method has been discussed. This article also provides an understanding about the Straussian grounded theory approach for the novice researchers.","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133594256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It generates theory about social processes, which are grounded in reality. Classic grounded theory is a unique inductive research approach with language, rules of rigor, procedures, and a final achievement, which is different from other research methods. The purpose of classic grounded theory is to theorize and facilitate an understanding of an effective knowledge, which is happening on the lives of people of the society. It represents grounded theory in a pure form, which emerges from the original work of Barney Galland Glaser (1930-2022) and Anselm Leonard Strauss (1916-1996) that is developed in 1967. It is the development of a theory from data with open ideas that comes from the data. This study tries to discuss a qualitative research design following a classic grounded theory approach through ontological, epistemological, and methodological assumptions of grounded theory. This study explores classic grounded theory approach including strengths and challenges of development in the social science.","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133773742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, economic globalisation makes public health issues become cross-national easily and poses a threat to the security of all mankind, which puts forward higher requirements for WHO. However, WHO faces challenges such as financial crisis, lack of governance autonomy and low internal governance efficiency caused by the decentralised power, which hinder its further role. This essay explores the most important challenges facing WHO and discusses how it should respond.","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133083341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Governments all around the world implemented stringent measures in an effort to limiting cases and slow the virus’ rate of spreading because of the illnesses’ Chinese origins and quick worldwide spread. However, these strategies have shattered the key pillars supporting modern world economies when nationalist concentration and struggle over scarce resources eclipsed global commerce and collaboration. The COVID outbreak had major economic effects on every country in the world, and it doesn’t seem to appear that any nation is or will be exempted. This has an adverse effect not only on the economy but also on society as a whole, which has drastically altered how both firms and customers conduct themselves. Interestingly, most governments in the African continent especially sees this mire as good news and a necessary evil by putting the blame on the epidemic for their failure in government and subsequently failing the citizens. The status quo has created an atmosphere of terror and insecurity in individuals so much so that, people are now timid to complain or go to the hospital of normal headaches, fever, stomachaches, malaria and even the common cold we all know of. Once you cough in public, you will not only be lucky for people around running away from you but will adversely draw the attention of the police on you in addition. When will?","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123091805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through a careful analysis of the texts of the two letters, it can be found that Marx believed that Russian society should not repeat the old way of Western Europe, which stripped peasants from the land and developed capitalist cities and industries. Instead, Russia should preserve the land ownership foundation of rural communes, feed agriculture with industry, import advanced technology and productivity from Europe, and transition to communism without going through the Caudine Forks of capitalism. Marx’s conception of Russia’s development path has a theoretical enlightening significance for our understanding of the Marxist social development model. This assumption provides a new enlightenment for the study of the regularity problem of social history and has a methodological guiding significance for the development of the Chinese model.","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128873986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Good news headlines play an important role in attracting readers and condensing news content. In the process of translating news, the translators need to pay more attention to translating the headlines. Under the guidance of communicative translation strategy, combining specific translation examples of news headlines, this article explores the English translation skills of Chinese news headlines. The researcher finally finds out that translators should make use of translation skills like word-to-word translation, amplification and adaptation flexibly, in order to make the translated versions of news headlines in line with the expressing habit of English.","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124439940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has a powerful yet special force that attracts almost all young people who come into contact with it. YouTube permeates every aspect of people’s lives, education, daily life, work, leisure, and entertainment. Everyone can be a professional uploader. It is very important to know how to be a good uploader and what the important elements are related to generating revenue from YouTube. This article uses the top 1000 channels and the top 200 daily YouTube video’s data from September 2020 to January 2022 in the United States to analyze popular categories of channels, and use the YouTube videos and their related data from September 2020 to January 2022 from Ken Jee to analyze uploader characteristics. The dataset of this article is based on YouTube API and the uploader’s release. CRISP-DM method is applicated to exploring the data in Jupyter using Python. In addition, Pearson correlation analysis is used to analyze revenue-related metrics. This paper contains both qualitative and quantitative analyses. In this paper, we found that among the top 1000 most popular uploaders, Entertainment, and Music types are the most popular, with 241 and 222 respectively. The Autos & Vehicles and Travel & Events categories are the least represented, with only 1 on the list. This article also finds out Entertainment, Music, People & Blogs and Gaming type of videos users are most attracted to, the core audience, and their interests. Have strong positive relation with revenue. In addition, watch time (hours), subscribers lost, likes, shares, and dislikes are strongly positively correlated with revenues. Comments are moderately positively correlated with revenues. RPM and CPM almost have no correlation with revenue. This study offers a statistical analysis of the content genre based on a number of categories and details of YouTube users’ interests. This study also demonstrates the variables that might have an impact on YouTube uploaders’ revenue. So that uploaders, researchers, and investors can acquire a rough idea of the impact on YouTube.","PeriodicalId":408414,"journal":{"name":"Studies in Social Science & Humanities","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131162510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
