DDM can reduce the communication cost, computational cost, and storage cost. However a key issue for DDM is accuracy of knowledge discovery. To mitigate the accuracy issue, it is necessary to provide reliable network. In practice, it is assumed that the network is available all the time but in reality, it may not available most of the time. In this study, we considered a sporadic wireless sensor network (SWSN), SWSN is a wireless network where most of the time a complete path is not available from a source to a destination, or such a path is highly unreliable. It is also possible in this type of network a communication path is available for a very short time and it may breaks when try to send data over it and limited storage capacity. This research is limited to children aged 5 to 7 years old. Therefore, approaches in developing animated multimedia applications are studied so that they can suit the children's interest and at the same time can act as a tool for learning. This paper discusses the study on design principles and requirements for multimedia application development which covers suitable learning theories, learning taxonomy, modules, user interface principles, and usability that are appropriate with the application developed. MFolktales application was developed based on the results of the study. This paper also provides some discussions regarding the guidelines utilized in developing the prototype. Finally, a set of usability questions was given to 30 parents who have children aged between 3 to 12 years old to evaluate the usability level of the developed prototype. However, the low level nature of MapReduce programming necessitates the development of High-level abstractions, i.e., High Level Query Languages (HLQL), such as Hive, Pig, JAQL and others. These languages can be categorized as either dataflow based or OLAP-based. For OLAP-based HLQL, in particular Hive, at the moment, the speed of retrieval of big data for the analysis is still requiring improvement. Hence, indexing is one of the techniques used for this purpose. Yet, the indexing approach still has its loopholes since it is performed manually and externally using the approach of index inclusion and two-way data scanning. It requires huge computational time and space and hence not scalable for future potential scale of big data. Thus, an adaptive indexing framework is proposed for improving both the computational time and memory usage of the indexing process. The technique shall check the user queries to determine the necessity for indexing and use internal indexing with one-way data scanning approach for the indexing strategy. First the stability of the model with harvesting is analyzed. The model is then improved by considering a time delay in the mechanism of the growth rate of the population. They are the students who have problems in adapting to the learning process, slow to understand concepts, unable to retain information for long and have difficulties in applying their knowledge to various situations. Weak learners should be helped because they are the asset of the country and reducing their numbers, means, a better chance for the country to achieve the mission as a developed country. The aim of this paper is to discuss about the effectiveness of the implementation of Je Vous Teaching and Learning Strategies on weak learners. 50 weak learners were involved in this study. They were from Pre Commerce students of Mengubah Destini Anak Bangsa Programme Semester December 2012 to April 2013 at Mara University of Technology Kelantan branch, Malaysia. To achieve this objective JE VOUS Teaching and Learning Strategies involve five phases such as gathering students' Mathematics results in SPM examination, giving diagnostic test, imparted knowledge through direct teaching, having peer mentoring and doctor - patient session as well as evaluating the students' performance. This paper investigates the impact of FOU size and number of membership functions (MFs) on the model's prediction performance. An IT2FLS trained using a fast learning method is designed here. The uncertainty in data is captured by designing the IT2FLS with different sizes of FOU. The concept of extreme learning machine (ELM) is then used for optimal tuning of IT2FLS consequent parameters. The designed model is applied to the chaotic time series prediction. This research proposes to investigate the use of Bayesian inference technique specifically particle filter for tracking human in video surveillance. Kalman filter which has been the de facto technique for real world tracking performs poorly for most of the problems because, the real world applications are often non-linear and non Gaussian. The particle filter on the other hand is a tool for estimating the posterior probability density of state of a dynamic model that includes non-linear and non-Gaussian real world applications. The filter uses random sample to estimate the possible location of the tracked object in the next immediate frame even in the presence of occlusion. In order to initialize the tracking process, humans are first detected using a pretrained human detection model in video. The detector utilize model fusing method which is the combination of histogram of oriented gradient based human detector model and Haar feature based upper body detector to locate position of moving person in video.
