Capacity building of homestay operators through training needs to be developed using the andragogy approach. Andragogy approach in training is chosen because of these homestay operators comprised of adults 40 years and above, and also those who do not possess any background in the tourism industry. Therefore, this study is conducted to examine the needs of the speaker approach from the perspective of the training participants. Accordingly, a qualitative study is conducted involving 50 respondents consisting of 3 groups; homestay operators, homestay coordinators and stakeholders involved with homestay in Malaysia. The usage of Atlas-Ti7 assisted in the formation of research themes and is further discussed in this study. The ethnic diversity in Sarawak has caused the emergence of various languages or and very significantly to be studied such as the synonym aspect in Iban and Salako languages. Although the languages of the Iban community and Salako communities in Lundu and Sematan area are believed/assumed originated from the same language known as the Austronesian language, but the language spoken daily is different as a result of various factors. The dissimilar elements are in terms of pronunciation, spelling, meaning, context of usage and other elements so on. This study was conducted to, understand and investigate whether the Iban and Salako languages have words that are synonymous. This study was conducted using qualitative method such as literature review, interviews, observations, recording, notes and checks were used to obtain complete and detailed information and linguistic data. The findings show that there are some words in the Iban and the Salako languagese have lexical meaning that are synonymous. The meaning of this synonym is clearly understood even when used in different contexts that are not the same as the two communities. This study used quantitative (survey) method and involved a sample of 420 students who are selected using a stratified random sampling method from thirteen schools. The data were collected through a questionnaire which focuses on the five aspects of the variables namely knowledge, values, skills, attitudes and practices of sustainable usage of water. Inferential analysis (t-test) is used to answer the objective of the study. The findings of the t-te`st analysis show that there is no significant difference in terms of knowledge, values, skills and practices of sustainable usage of water based on students’ gender. Furthermore, the t-test analysis showed that there was a significant difference in the attitude of water consumption between male and female students. This shows that there is no difference in the practice of water usage among students based on gender. This quantitative study was conducted in two phases. The first phase employed a survey design and the survey data were obtained by using the questionnaire instrument while the second phase is employed a quasi-experimental design. A total of 47 students involved in this research. The validity of the data was determined by establishing reference from a panel of experts. The quantitative data were analysed descriptively and were inferred to obtain frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. As a result, it was found that the reliability of the instrument that was assessed via alpha Cronbach had been high, which was >80. The results show that the attitude of students is high and the use of Smart Mind Map provides a variety of benefits to students in the teaching and learning of Moral education. Quasi-experiments showed that the use of Smart Mind Map effective in improving students academic achievement. It would realize the concept of digital campus and green technology. It also in line with the ISO 15489 — Information and Documentation—Records Management 2001. The digitization of the university documents is made centralized at the Center for Knowledge and Communication Services. The undertaking was approved by the university’s administration in 2016. The idea was that the office monitors the work flows of the document digitization from the initiation phase to completion phase. The study that took place in 2016 had made the office the first department where the study was carried out. Later, it will be implemented by the other departments. The digitization processes were developed by data management unit and the implementation was accomplished by the Knowledge and Communication Services Centre. The whole operation is performed by seven personnel that consists of one assistant information technology officer and six assistant operational officers. This work identifies the factors that affect the performance of document management. It tackles the perception of university employees who are engaged in administrative and management of documentation. The idea is to enhance the management performance on the digitization of the organization records. A total of 80 respondents from the faculty and the non-academic units or centers were selected to participate in the survey. The questionnaire has a 0.944 level of the reliability (Cronbach's α). It is greater than 0.7 that indicates the survey instrument is reliable. The data was processed through exploratory factor analysis to see the structure of the organization’s performance factors. The results pinpoint the key elements that would affect the performance of document management. The study established by using Teaching and Learning Guiding Principles Instrument (TLGPI) to look out the reliability and validity of the instrument in generating teaching and learning guiding principles (TLGP). Participants consisted of 357 Malaysian teacher educators from ten Malaysian higher teacher education institutions which were selected using cluster sampling technique. TLGPI is an essential instrument to reflect in generating the teaching and learning guiding principles in higher education level in Malaysia. Confirmatory Factor Analysis has validated all 4 items of Quality Learning (QL) construct and also all 4 items of Constructive Alignment (CA) construct of TLGPI whereby all items indicated high reliability and internal consistency. Work injury and occupational disease require employers to allocate substantial costs to compensate the disability benefits and benefits of dependents or pensions. This study aims to identify the level and trend of health expenditure for employees covered under Employment Injury Scheme (EIS) in the Malaysia Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) for years 2009-2013. Retrospective descriptive analysis is carried out on a 5-year data (2009-2013) which comprises all employees who contribute under the SBP. Based on the descriptive analysis, the number of active workers contributing to SOCSO and the amount of benefits paid by SOCSO are increasing every year. Based on the Temporary Disability (HUS) data, the number of working days lost due to accidents is different according to gender and age, with more male workers than female workers, and with more young workers (25-29 years) than aged workers. This paper is vital as there are many arising issues relating to madrasa development in the present context that requires much needed attention from various parties. This is because the madrasa's utilitarian function and existence as a community center began to change once transformation occurred to civil society. This factor happened due to modernization and Western influence in the context of Islamic propagation. Past literature on madrasa development focused more on limited areas of study such as the documentation of historical ownership, management and maintenance, learning curriculum, discussion on the role of women in madrasa education, and the construction process of the madrasas. To date, none discusses on the strategies how to design the madrasa to function as a community center. This research analyses historic prominent madrasa Rustem Pasha (1547-1550) designed by the great architect Sinan during the expansion period of Ottoman empire (1453-1566) based on literature review using semiotic approach to establish the appropriate design attributes that interrelated with communal values. Findings indicate that five communal values involving transparency, propriety, modesty, gratitude and obligation are embedded in this historic madrasa built form and spatial arrangement for centuries as a form of ‘sign’ to convey message to the user. This study also focuses on quality of relationships of the children with others and their link with children’s happiness with life. Data for this study were obtained from 223 children with age ranged from 10 to 12 year old in the only one primary school at Gaya Island, Sabah. The Good Childhood Index was used to measure overall well-being and in relation to 10 aspects of the life of children. It includes a single-item measure of happiness with life as a whole, a five-item measure of overall life satisfaction. The results indicated that children in Gaya Island tend to be happy - the mean score on 10 point scale was 8.18. Around 7% of the children scored below the mid-point on this scale or around 16 out of 223 young people were more unhappy than happy. For life satisfaction scale, the score can range from 5 to 25. Again the result showed the life satisfaction of the children at Gaya Island was generally positive. The mean score on this scale was 19.22. Around 2.7% of children at Gaya Island scored below the mid-point of 15 on this scale. The result indicated that the choices in life and health condition were positive predictors of children’s happiness. Rahim","doi":"10.11113/SH.V10N3-4.1545","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.11113/SH.V10N3-4.1545","url":null,"abstract":"The main objective of this study is to identify the Islamic Education teacher (GPI's) perception on knowledge based on its sources and classifications among new GPIs in the State of Selangor. This is descriptive study used a questionnaire as instrument for data collection. The questionnaire was developed based on the concept Malakah Ilmiyyah Ibnu Khaldun through chapter sixth in the Book Muqaddimah. Two constructs are identified as the source of knowledge and classification of knowledge. Using the simple random sampling method, a total of 92 new GPIs was randomly selected from several schools in the Gombak state of Selangor to be a sample of the study. Generally, the study found new GPI perception of knowledge by the concept Malakah Ilmiyyah Ibnu Khaldun is at a high level. All constructs were above 8.0 i.e. sources of knowledge (8.70) and classification of knowledge (8.89). This study showed that the new GPI has a positive perception of practicing naqli and aqli knowledge as taught by Ibnu Khaldun in his Muqaddimah Book. The concept of Malakah Ilmiyyah Ibn Khaldun is actually very consistent to the goal of producing a knowledgeable GPI and at the same time can create a student human capital of the world's brightest and the hereafter.
