No fatal leak of hydrogen gas occurred on the O-ring seal made of the Fluoroelastomer during the endurance cycle test that simulates the hydrogen filling process of fuel cell vehicle(FCV). However, wear damages and extrusion of O-ring seal were observed after the durability test including the cycle of high compression and decompression of hydrogen pressure at high temperature, indi-cating that developed elastomer still does not have sufficient durability under realistic severe environment. In order to reduce such an environmental load caused by the release of chemical substances into the atmosphere, Japanese government has been establishing a series of laws and regulations concerning the manufacture, import, use and disposal of harmful chemical substances. These laws and regulations make the user of rubber chemicals easy to access the important information provided by the manufacturer concerning the hazards of the chemicals. PDMSというポリマー自体は,ゴムとしての利用ばかり ではなく,シリコーンオイル,グリース,離型剤,消泡 剤,化粧品,医薬品など,幅広い用途で用いられている. その理由は,PDMSが耐熱性や生体適合性に優れると同 時に,さまざまな物質の界面で独特の挙動を示すためであ る.これらの物性はPDMSに特有な分子構造,分子形態 の自由度,および界面エネルギーの結果として発現され る.従って,PDMSに発現する物性を分子レベルの構造 に基づいて理解することは極めて重要であり,古くから研 究の対象となっている. Combination of 3 dimensional transmission electron micro tomography (3D-TEMT) and 3 dimensional finite element analysis enables to investigate the deformation of elastomers in nano-scopic scale. The strain concentration over 200% can be seen between carbon black aggregates, even if the overall strain was only 15%. This is due to the fact that the occluded rubber can behave as a hard domain as if the volume fraction of filler is increased. {"title":"Profiling Analysis of Silane Coupling Agents by High Mass Accuracy MS n and Multivariate Statistical Technique","authors":"Hiroki Nakajima","doi":"10.2324/gomu.88.198","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2324/gomu.88.198","url":null,"abstract":"ゴムを分析対象物とした場合,大きく分けて二つの異な る視点により評価・解析が行われる.一つはゴムを材料/ 製品として捉えたマクロな視点であり,もう一つは高分子 化合物として捉えたミクロな視点である.前者では強度, 疲労限界,耐久性などの性能評価を目的とした引張り試験 や熱分析などが,後者では高分子構造や添加剤等に関する 解析を目的とした質量分析,分光分析などが用いられる. 近年,高分子材料中の添加剤分析には,手法としての簡 便性から様々な種類の質量分析装置が用いられている.他 の分析手法と比較して高感度で対象化合物を検出すること が可能な質量分析法は,微量成分を検出できるという点で 非常に有効であるが,多成分試料の測定では混在するそれ ぞれの成分相互のイオン化抑制効果のために比較的高濃度 で含有される成分だけが検出され,添加剤のような微量成 分は全く検出されないという現象が起こる.これを避ける ためには,多成分試料を前もって各種クロマトグラフで成 分ごとに分離しておくことが必須となる.この目的と豊富 な添加剤データベースが存在することから,従来,高分子 用添加剤分析にはガスクロマトグラフ/質量分析計(gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer:GC/MS)が広く用 いられてきた.しかしながら,化合物の揮発性が低く,分 子量が比較的大きい添加剤の種類が増えてきたことから, 最近ではGC/MSと併用して液体クロマトグラフ/質量分 析計(liquid chromatograph/mass spectrometer: LC/MS)を利用するケースが多く見られるようになって きた.中でも,データベースに登録されていない新規添加 剤や添加剤そのものの変性体などの未知試料の分析には, 精密質量測定が可能な飛行時間型質量分離部(time of flight:TOF)と,より詳細な構造情報を得るために多段 のMS/MS分析(MS)が可能な四重極型イオントラップ 質量分離部(quadrupole ion trap:QIT)を併せもつ高 速液体クロマトグラフ/イオントラップ飛行時間型質量分 析計(LC-QIT-TOFMS)が有益なツールとなる. 本報では,ゴム製品の例としてタイヤを挙げ,そのゴム 製造過程で用いられるシランカップリング剤のメーカー毎 中 島 宏 樹 ●総説特集 ものづくりを支えるゴム分析技術の進歩","PeriodicalId":405949,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Society of Rubber Industry,Japan","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132630242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
