This problem is becoming more critical knowing that future wireless applications are expected to be greedy in terms of spectrum. The traditional static spectrum assignment policy leads to an under utilization of significant amount of spectrum. This has been the main motivation under the orientation of the research towards the investigation of some efficient new ways for the planning and sharing the radio spectrum. Recently, economic approaches start to play a vital role in sharing and trading the spectrum and introduce a new direction to dynamic spectrum management. In this paper, market equilibrium optimization technique for power allocation for secondary users under primary user's power constraint is visited in OFDM context, and the corresponding assigned rate is evaluated after applying a waterfilling procedure and a proper choice of the best users' prices.","PeriodicalId":405923,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies (ICEIT)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133854340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Market globalization and rapid advancement of technologies require that companies differentiate themselves with innovative products and services to create competitive advantage. Increasingly, manufacturers face higher pressure to shorten their time for product design to enter market. TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) supports designers for innovative product design by searching from knowledge base. The existing TRIZ ontology supports innovative design of a product. But it considers about specific products (Flashlight and SmartFan) for TRIZ ontology. We applied the semantic TRIZ to products as an interim stage towards meta-ontology that can manage general products and other concepts. The research in this paper aims at developing meta-ontology for innovative product design that can be applied to multiple products in different domain areas. Modeling ontologies of real world (SmartPen and SmartMachine) is taken as an evaluation for the meta-ontology. This may open up new possibilities to innovative product designs.","PeriodicalId":405923,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies (ICEIT)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133355193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has many applications, including energy production scheduling, maintenance and operation of electric network, elaboration of accurate investment and development plans for transmission and distribution networks, negotiation of PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) and purchasing fuels at optimal costs. Over the last decades, a large variety of mathematical models have been developed for load forecasting, including short-term, medium-term and long term models. This article aims at developing a long term load forecasting model for Moroccan electric grid, using Auto-Regressive Moving Average model. The results are compared to official forecasts of ONEE (Office National de l'Eau et d'Electrcité). This model will be a useful tool for decision makers, to better design investment plans and strategies, aiming at reducing the impact of energy bill on Moroccan economy.","PeriodicalId":405923,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies (ICEIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130348354","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the other hand, the urban environment is becoming more complex and heterogeneous in colours and shapes of its components. From that, we propose in this paper a fuzzy-morphological method applied on urban satellite images delivered alone. It is an hybrid method based on a combination of spectral and spatial pixel information to overcome the limitation of traditional methods. The spectral information is treated using fuzzy logic concept and a spatial one using morphological operations. It can be considered as a thresholding method which achieves the aimed goal according two steps: at first, it does a soft clustering by attributing each pixel to a cluster according to a membership degree, after that, it keeps only interesting regions “buildings”. Promising buildings extraction results are presented and to show even more the effectiveness of proposed approach, it has been compared to two other thresholding methods.","PeriodicalId":405923,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies (ICEIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128766321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An example of such applications is the structural health status monitoring of highway bridges that connect roads in both rural and urban areas. Many of these bridges are subject to deterioration due to external and internal factors. Online, real-time structural health monitoring is a resourceful complimentary tool to facilitate rapid field inspection. Bridge maintenance and infrastructure managers can easily use this application to safeguard the performance and safety of these vital structures. This paper presents an autonomous wireless sensor network system to monitor structural health in highways bridges. The proposed system consists of a wireless Data Acquisition Unit (DAQ), a mobile public network, a structural health data evaluation, a management middleware, a GIS and graphical user interface module. The sensors in the DAQ gather the bridge health signs and transmit them promptly via the public mobile networks to the management and evaluation middleware for further processing. Based on the national bridge inventory rating scale, an early warning fuzzy logic based engine is developed to process the status of a given bridge and alert the concerned operator/s regarding any abnormality. Furthermore, an interactive Google map is used to show the status of each bridge along with its exact location. A prototype was built in the laboratory to validate the proposed system. Analysis of testing results and comparisons with existing monitoring systems are also discussed. Operators can access the bridge real-time data through mobile phone. The system is cost effective and user friendly.","PeriodicalId":405923,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies (ICEIT)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130135418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we have developed a Finite element model which is based solely on geometrical data, material parameters, winding distributions, and solving of the Maxwell equations by considering the geometry of the structures and the properties of the materials, but the model complexity and high time resolution have pushed to pass to the electrical circuit model (multi-windings), which is based on a detailed modeling of the induction motors, and is enabled to detect and localize the completely and partially broken rotor bars. The simulation results of different electrical quantities such as the stator currents, PARK currents, and torque..., show the effectiveness of the two models, and allow for the detection of these defects.","PeriodicalId":405923,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies (ICEIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130701344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our calculations are performed using a variational approach within the mass effective approximation. We describe the quantum confinement by an infinite deep potential. The ground state energy and the diamagnetic susceptibility of the donor are computed as function of hydrostatic pressure, dot size, donor position and the strength of the magnetic field. The results show the ground state energy, increases with pressure and magnetic field for any ratio, inner on outer radius. The absolute value of diamagnetic susceptibility decreases with increasing pressure and magnetic field. Hydrostatic pressure and magnetic field corresponds an additional confinement, their effects are decerned at lowest confinement.","PeriodicalId":405923,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies (ICEIT)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131137937","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
