Android has evolved greatly and user experience in addition to consumer level efficiency along with integration of android powered devices also expanded. Because of its promising features and characteristics like open source nature, rich user interface, consistent app API's. Android is being integrated and ported to various embedded devices this includes enterprise desktop IP phones, cameras, modem, sensors, and set-up boxes, automotive. One major advantage of using android framework beyond the mobile devices is the android applications can talk to the functionality of all these devices powered by android and developers need not to write several applications for different embedded systems. This paper takes a look at the challenges in android migration to the different embedded platforms and porting issues. Here we presented description of preparing and building android operating system in local environment for developing apps and preparing Linux-kernel for the different embedded platform. we briefly explain how to customize AOSP then it can be transported into new devices like enterprise desktop IP phones and cameras once all these has been done android step forward into new embedded platform can be achieved.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125001454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can reduce cost as well as tremendous pressure of managing devices, storage servers, application models and man power. In current era, data warehouse is very effective concept that can make huge impact in organizational decision support system. Unlike database systems, data warehouse systems take large amount of time and cost to deploy and develop in-house system for an organization. This is the reason that people now think about cloud computing as a solution of the problem instead of implementing their own data warehouse system. This paper is about, how cloud computing environment can be established as an alternative of data warehouse system. It will also throw some light about better environment choice for the organizational need. Organizational data warehouse and EC2 (Elastic Cloud Computing) are discussed with different parameters like ROI, security, scalability, robustness of data, maintenance of system etc. Paper will help in comparative analysis of both the systems.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"336 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122303031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A country which has its borders made by land faces major security threat from enemy infiltrations. The use of ultra modern techniques like concerting fencing, UAV and advanced imaging devices also fails to reduce the enemy infiltration. This project intends to stop the infiltrators with the help of a simple mechatronic robot. This robot has a nylon sensor shaft mounted with a infrared trans-receiver is placed in a gear disc coupled with dc motor drive scans/surveils the area for infiltrators. If the infrared signal is blocked by any infiltrators, the PIC microcontroller locks the position of the DC motor at the target and simultaneously energizes the solenoid wound on the guns trigger and shoots at the target. After traversing the full surveillance along 180° the sensor shaft returns again into the chassis (original position). The chassis is buried into the soil behind our LOC which provides visual stealth to the robot.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131197438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a predictive modelling task which is defined as building a model for the target variable as a function of the explanatory variables. There are many well established techniques for classification, while decision tree is a very important and popular technique from the machine learning domain. Decision tree is a decision support tool that uses a tree-like graph or model of decisions and their possible consequences, including chance event outcomes, resource costs and utility. C4.5 is a well known decision tree algorithm used for classifying datasets. The C4.5 algorithm is Quintan's extension of his own ID3 algorithm for decision tree classification. It induces decision trees and generates rules from datasets, which could contain categorical and/or numerical attributes. The rules could be used to predict categorical values of attributes from new records. C4.5 performs well in classifying the dataset as well as in generating useful rules. In this paper, a web based software for rule generation and decision tree induction using C4.5 algorithm has been discussed. The visualization in the form of tree structure enhances the understanding of the generated rules. The software contains the feature to impute the missing values in data. The input data can both be categorical and numerical in nature. The software can import TXT, XLS and CSV data file formats. Enhanced waterfall model has been used for the software development process. This software will be useful for academicians, researchers and students working in the area of data mining, agriculture and other fields where huge amount of data is generated.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132400915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multicasting is used to send the information from one receiver to group of receivers. But it is faced big issue because of additional data demand of receivers which may cause of congestion. There are different approach to control congestion i.e. single rate and multi rate approach. We are considering the single rate approach. TCP friendly multicast congestion control technique (TFMCC) is basically a first single rate multicast congestion control technique. It uses the steady state equation to adjust the throughput. But this mechanism has the problem of feedback implosion. It creates the congestion at the source side. This problem was solved by pragmatic general multicast congestion control (PGMCC) approach. In this paper, we provide an effective mechanism for multicast congestion control which work based on utilization of situation and improve the solution with respect to TFMCC, PGMCC.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114987425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A node can move anytime in an ad hoc scenario, as a result, such a network poses routing protocols which can adopt to dynamically changing network topology. To accomplish this, a number of ad hoc routing protocols have been proposed and implemented. As routing is a critical issue in MANET, we propose a new routing approach, a Cluster based approach coined as RIMCA for efficient routing of message from the source to destination. In RIMCA, a mobile adhoc network (MANET) consists of mobile wireless nodes which moves randomly within boundary of cluster. The communications between these mobile nodes are carried out without any centralized control per cluster but the communications between nodes in different clusters is carried out by using border cluster node (BCN) located at the border of cluster. To effectively depict the efficiency of our RIMCA approach we took two popular MANET protocols AODV and DSR. The simulation tool used was Network Simulator (NS2). The performance of these routing protocols was analyzed by four metrics: Protocols Energy, routing discover, End-to-End delay, package-size VS Delivery -Ratio, package-size _Vs_Throughput.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134194786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
