Therefore, a stand is needed, that allows conducting experimental studies with the specified models of devices. The basis of the stand are two three-phase voltage generators simulating non-synchronously operating energy systems. An important requirement for each generator is the ease of frequency control while maintaining a phase shift between phase voltages. For this purpose, a master oscillator with a frequency much higher, than the required one, was supplied. Further, the frequency divider and the decoder allow at the outputs of the latter to obtain signals with a constant value of the phase shift between them with a change of the frequency of the input pulses succession from the master oscillator. The subsequent chains in each phase form a sinusoidal voltage.","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130906260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These equations can be depicted in various forms, like symbolic form, numeric-symbolic form, numeric-normal form. At the beginning, we designed the calculation method and afterwards we built the computer application, named SYSEG (SYSEG — Symbolic State Equation Generation), this software being able to obtain the normal form of the state equations. SYSEG does not calculate any inverse matrix, succeeding to get the compact form of the state equations through subsequent abridgements of the mathematic expressions. The first kind degeneracies are resolved in a unitary way in order to support the symbolic form to use a small number of state variables. The SYSEG application can work with circuits that have in their structure elements like: all types of linear controlled sources, independent sources (voltage and current), linear and non-linear resistors, capacitors and inductors. Also, this software is a very efficient instrument to be used for the symbolic analysis and for the circuits design (linear/non-linear time-invariant analog circuits).","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128843735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of the energy sector requires significant investments which can only be attracted in a stable and predictable investment environment. Therefore, Latvian energy sector is being planned in a long-term both globally and at the European Union (EU) level. During the last two decades, increase in electricity demand and environmental concern resulted in fast growth of power production from renewable sources, where wind energy is one of the most efficient alternatives. The second important moment is the Baltic power system's development strategy, with the breakdown of continental Europe from the energy circle of BRELL until 2025. The purpose of this paper is devoted to the evaluation sufficiency of the taken measures, taking into account the integration of a large wind farm in the Latvian Electric Power System (EPS) in terms of stability. The methodology proposed in the paper can be applied for the detection of network parameters that are most vulnerable to perturbations such as a voltage drop, as well as defining the relations of said parameters with the EPS parameters, and using this information for the consequent improvement of behavioral EPS properties in general. Thus, knowing the location of sensors, it is possible to determine and control the nodes that undergo the biggest fluctuations of operational parameters during the disturbances.","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114452225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The economic, energetic cross-border exchanges, specialists educated in different universities from the entire world, represent a reality for the international scientific world. Only intense and permanent international exchanges can ensure development economically speaking and new commercial relations for each state member. Present paper analyses mainly the Reports of International Commissions created especially for the Energetic domain, known as European Energetic Community-EEC, with different committees dedicated to renewable and conventional resources and on the other hand the Romanian National Authority permanent answers. All these dual connections are transformed into concepts capable to be transmitted to students from Faculties of Energy, and not only. This article aims to highlight the importance of international dedicated rules and their implementation at national levels. In the beginning is presented the importance, well accepted, by all European Countries of a Pan-European Energy Market — named PEEM, mainly now in actual new economical situation created after the Brexit. Achieving a PEEM may be a purpose for all countries, especially for the EU candidates. Further, are mentioned new items, new conventions, and rules connected to the current free Romanian Market of Energy, as it is from January 2017. Some aspects of necessity must be discussed with students: the fact that European acquis need to be actualized and implemented in connection to the economic reality of each involved country. Separately must be treated the EU Regulations, which can not be directly implemented, and applicable in short time to all Contracting Parties, once they are part of the European Energetic Community-EEC. The High Level Reflection Group agrees that a complete reconstruction of the dedicated institutions should be actualized, especially to realize the possibility of enlarging continuously the energetic tran-border networks. Some new terms are introduced as population benefits, geographic aspects. Romania as part of EEC has permanently adapted internal regulations to the new accepted rules. The Energy Community Risk Enhancement Facility will act to sustain other initiatives especially for the Central and South-East Europe. After almost a year since liberalization of the Romanian energy market are presented some conclusions and references.","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117250210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this configuration we developed a power demand prediction model which is intended for the power distribution of the vehicular system between the two sources. The proposed model, based on Wavelet decomposition and Neural Network, is a hybrid model developed in MATLAB&Simulink software. The distribution of the predicted power demand signal between the battery and the supercapacitor is necessary for improving the whole system performance and it is done according to their characteristics.","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121931390","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Operational voltage, ambient temperature or hydraulic pressure can introduce delays in opening and closing the circuit breaker. These parameters are motorized through sensors that send all the data to a control unit. The control unit calculates the decision/(time) when to make controlled switching. This paper presents a study case that demonstrates how one of the parameter introduces delays in the opening or closing processes of the circuit breaker.","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125921719","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Reducing carbon dioxide emissions is therefore one of the main practices that can be used to achieve the objectives set by energy policies in this regard. This paper aims to assess the decrease of these emissions over a short timeframe, based on historical records regarding instantaneous electricity demand and generation by sources for the last ten years in Romania. For this purpose, an algorithm was developed in Matlab to calculate several quantities including total energy generated annually, average used capacity for each type of primary source and total carbon dioxide emissions. The predictor variable used to evaluate the yearly amount of emissions as the outcome variable was the total renewable energy share in electricity demand. The variation in time of the determined quantities is presented, as well as their approximate trend of evolution in order to foresight their values by 2020.","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132014198","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The extruder is the equipment that provides the insulation process by extruding the insulating material onto metal wire. The efficiency of the insulation process is largely determined by the following factors: extruder productivity, extruder operating point, thermal regime ect. The paper tends to approach the energy efficiency of the insulation process through the prism of insulation layer quality assurance (thickness, eccentricity). Solving this problem requires a thorough mathematical study of the extrusion process. The main results obtained in this paper are: was determined the mathematical model which describes the extruder productivity at the electric wire insulation lines. Was determined the relation that determining the point of maximum efficiency of the extrusion process. The diagram of the extruder control system driven by an asynchronous motor with frequency converter was developed to maintain the extrusion process at the maximum efficiency point and a constant thickness of the applied insulation layer.","PeriodicalId":403279,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electromechanical and Power Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127867982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
