Lik kralja Tomislava u izvornom je obliku bio dio plakata ili slike, a svoje je mjesto reproduciranjem pronašao na ukupno šest razglednica tijekom 1925. godine. Svaki od ovih šest motiva analizira se u kontekstu specifičnog slikarskog opusa, općeg likovnog stanja u međuratnom razdoblju te aktualnih društveno-političkih prilika. Razglednice se pritom uzimaju isključivo kao sredstvo masovne komunikacije kojim se posreduje historijsko slikarstvo, odnosno lik kralja Tomislava i doba uspona Hrvatskoga Kraljevstva. Unutar zaključka vrednuje se uloga historijskog slikarstva kao komunikatora informacija u obilježavanju tisućite obljetnice Hrvatskoga Kraljevstva 1925. godine. Pritom se osobito upućuje na ulogu grafičkih reprodukcija i njihovu važnost pri formiranju kolektivne povijesne memorije i nacionalnog identiteta širih društvenih slojeva.","PeriodicalId":40226,"journal":{"name":"Ars Adriatica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48882721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ante opata u Kanalu sv. Ante. Tom prigodom u špilji je zatekao jednu mušku glavu i jedno žensko poprsje. Muška se glava danas čuva u fundusu Muzeja grada Šibenika, dok je žensko poprsje, nažalost, otuđeno iz ovog muzeja sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, i nije poznata njegova kasnija sudbina. Obje glave dosad nisu bile znanstveno obrađene u povijesti umjetnosti. Stoga autorica u članku istražuje pitanja autorstva, datacije i porijekla spomenutih dviju glava iz nekadašnje pustinjačke crkve Sv. Ante opata. U okviru istraživanja spomenutih glava, autorica se u radu osvrće i na skulpturu za koju je utvrđeno da potječe iz šibenske katedrale, a iz nje je uklonjena u vrijeme ili nakon njezine obnove koja se vodila od 1848. do 1860. godine.","PeriodicalId":40226,"journal":{"name":"Ars Adriatica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44965075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Njegove crteže odlikuju heterogene ikoničke sastavnice, koje su međusobno združene dvjema strateškim sponama. Riječ je o strategiji oponašanja (predmetne stvarnosti i grafičkoga otiska izvedenoga u tehnici bakroreza / bakropisa) i strategiji sprezanja različitih predmetnih pojavnosti bez vidne logične spone. Pojetsko sredstvo kojim Čeranić objedinjuje rečene spone autor priloga imenovao je sintagmom nutarnji oblik. Taj je pojam predstavljen u vidokrugu estetičke perspektive, potom u kontekstu jezikoslovlja, da bi na koncu kao aspekt likovne pojetike bio sagledan na primjeru Čeranićevih crteža. U prilogu je ujedno sažeto predstavljen i fenomen pareidolije, koji je kao takav srodan pojavnosti nutarnjega oblika u slučaju pojedinih Čeranićevih radova. Na koncu, sagledane su načelne spoznajne pretpostavke na temelju kojih nutarnji oblik kao pomno odabrano pojetičko sredstvo dohvaća željeni smisao. U tu svrhu u završnome je dijelu rada prizvan aspekt antičke teorije fantazmičke spoznaje.","PeriodicalId":40226,"journal":{"name":"Ars Adriatica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44172097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through re-examination of the complex with its distinctive features this paper offers answers on some of the still unresolved issues. A primary issue was to resolve who was responsible for its arrangement. After an onomastic analysis only one conclusion asserted itself - the “forum complex” could only have been erected by the Emperor Diocletian, who was obviously responsible for the rearrangement of the whole town of Doclea (Dioclea), his hometown. Further analysis of the concept, architectural arrangement and vocabulary used in the “forum” and adjoining “basilica” only corroborate that it was precisely Diocletian and his “architectural school”. Without a doubt, the Doclean (Dioclean) “forum complex” was innovative and original in many ways, along with its importance as an “imperial forum”, the “Diocletian’s imperial court”, will remain in the collective memory of the Montenegrins for centuries to come. The paper also represents an effort to clarify Diocletian’s background and the “modus operandi” of his “architectural school” whose presence in Doclea (Dioclea)has already been noticed.","PeriodicalId":40226,"journal":{"name":"Ars Adriatica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48067110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The altarpiece in the Šibenik cathedral executed by Filippo Zanberti (1585-1636) has been considered one of the many works commissioned by Arrigoni in the first decades of the 17th century. The fact that both Zaniberti and Arrigoni were originally from Brescia contributed to this false conclusion. However, the newly found will of Lucija Ivetić dating from 1626 and the archival data from 1635 describing the acquisition of the altarpiece in Venice provide new insights concerning the persons who commissioned the altarpiece from Zaniberti and the time of its execution.","PeriodicalId":40226,"journal":{"name":"Ars Adriatica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44187813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is an extensive volume with forty-seven articles written by Croatian and international scholars from the fields of art history, archaeology, and history, spanning the period from Late Antiquity to the 19th century and divided into four thematic blocks. The articles cover a wide range of topics, including stonemasonry productions and methodologies in studying sculpture, goldsmithing and applied arts, iconographic studies, and historical topography of the Eastern Adriatic area, paying tribute to the rich scholarly opus of Professor Jakšić.","PeriodicalId":40226,"journal":{"name":"Ars Adriatica","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48560376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Dorfles’ words, Popović’s painting has eventually brought to the same level Salome and Severina, the body of Christ “shown in the symbol of sliced bread or a Madonna whose physical grace turns into a refined appearance of a photo model.” Dimitrije chooses the drama of existence and great subjects hoping that they will do the work themselves, that is, become great art by the mere fact that they have been borrowed from Dante or Leonardo. This is the kind of laziness of the spirit, the gemütlichkeit that produces, as A. Moles would say, the “comfort of the heart” by copying the language of the past, as if art were contagious and one must merely be near it or reach for it to partake in its greatness. But instead, the case is more probably that, as L. Giesz would say when describing a kitschmensch like Dimitrije, “in his hands, even great art turns into kitsch.”","PeriodicalId":40226,"journal":{"name":"Ars Adriatica","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"66939940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
