The new model uses the staggered mesh discretization method to generate evacuation map and the intelligent agent-based model to simulate evacuation process. With the proposed model, artificial passengers are able to enter the same cell if they have the same moving directions in the simulation process. In addition, the influences from physical attributes of passengers on the evaluation time are incorporated into the simulation. Accuracy of the model was tested and the natural frequency and deformation were studied according to comparing the data obtained by the two methods. In the present paper, according to the procedure of fatigue reliability analysis, parameter uncertainty and model uncertainty are studied and the corresponding solutions are reviewed. The aim of parameter uncertainty analysis is to obtain reliability index to quantify uncertainties imported by parameters. The current research focuses on defining reliability index and putting forward different methods to handle different variable expressions (random, convex, fuzzy set). Different from parameter uncertainty analysis, model uncertainty analysis can reduce uncertainties imported by model by modifying model structure or selecting best model. In application, both methods can effectively quantify and reduce uncertainty. We selected three applications and measured their resource usage in terms of CPU and memory footprint. Specifically, we study Grep, Word Count and Sort applications while altering Hadoop's configuration parameters corresponding to I/O buffer. Our study brings up 3 key points. Firstly, effect of I/O parameters on total running time of the application; secondly, invalid assumptions of Hadoop scheduler that three phases (copy, sort and reduce) of a Reduce task are equal; finally, an insight supported by the results from the experiments on ways to improve the Hadoop scheduler for running multiple jobs by capturing the resource consumption information of different applications. On the basis of the analysis of the necessity and feasibility of CBM on fault detect mode, which puts forward the CBM system framework for military power plant, and explains in detail the core modules, the key technologies (state information acquisition and monitoring, testing and diagnosis based on embedded system, data mining and information fusion, fault diagnosis and prediction, and maintenance strategy), presents the CBM system workflow. The model is applied to a two-axis positioning mechanism transmission system to demonstrate its effectiveness and ability to directly calculate the system reliability on the basis of multi-state probabilities of elements.
