Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan masih adanya keluhan masyarakat terkait pelayanan yang diinginkan oleh masayarakat, rendahnya kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan oleh petugas kepada masyarakat, belum maksumalnya bagi staff PTSP dalam memahami dan menyadari terhadap tugasnya masing-masing, sehingga berdampak pada hasil kinerja yang tidak sesuai dengan standar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan data dan informasi tentang kinerja pengawai pada unit Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PTSP) Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Propinsi Sumatera Barat, Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) yang bersifat deskriptif, informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Kantor, Kepala Bagian TU, Kasubag, Staf Kanwil dan masyarakat dengan memakai teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa Kinerja pegawai pada Unit Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PTSP) Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Barat dar segi kemampuan dan kepribadian para pegawai selaku pelayan publik selalu berusaha untuk bersikap baik dan berperilaku sopan serta berusaha untuk memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat dengan ikhlas serta sesuai dengan SOP dan aturan yang berlaku, kemudian juga motivasi dalam operasional pelayanan, para pegawai dituntut untuk semakin mempermudah masyarakat dalam mendapat pelayanan. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam kinerja pegawai pada unit Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PTSP) Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Barat adalah seringnya pejabat yang terkait dalam penandatanganan berkas tidak berada di tempat, SDM serta tenaga professional yang kurang, dan jaringan yang terdapat pada unit PTSP, sehingga mengakibatkan terhambatnya penyelenggaraan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu yang professional di PTSP Kanwil Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Barat. This type of research is quantitative research through the correlation method. The research population was high school students in the city of Padang as many as 85 people consisting of 3 class groups. The research sample was taken by using total sampling technique. Data collection on reading interest and learning motivation was carried out using a questionnaire technique in the form of a closed questionnaire, while data on the ability to write descriptions was obtained using a test technique in the form of a text description writing performance test. Data analysis was performed with the Pearson Product Moment (PPM) correlation test, multiple correlation tests through the F test and t test. The results of the study show that, first, reading interest contributes to students' skills in writing descriptive text. Second, learning motivation contributes positively to students' writing skills. Moreover, Teachers’ perception on the reading materials is essential because it gives valuable input about teaching materials used in the teaching learning process. The main source of teaching materials comes from textbook. This research analyzes reading materials in students’ English textbook for grade XI semester I. The purpose of this research is to describe how are the reading materials in the aspects of aims viewed from the teachers’ perception. Source of the data in this research is divided into two. First is the analysis checklist of reading materials in the students’ English textbook for grade XI semester I filled by three analysts. Two of the analysts are the English teachers at different schools while the other one is the researcher herself. Second is the interview gotten from the teacher who is also one of the analysts in order get more data about the teacher’s perception on the reading material especially about the strength and weakness of the aims of the material. Difficulties in this skill is experienced by students in the Indonesian context consisting of various ethnicities, languages and cultures. Listening skill would enable people to improve their ability in communication. However, in some cases of EFL classes, college students still find difficulties in learning this skill since it needs more attentions and concentrations in order to comprehend the language materials. This study tries to discover the listening difficulties encountered by English Education Department students of faculty of teacher training and education in Universitas Ekasakti while taking the listening courses. The design of this research was descriptive research with population were the second-year students who have taken the Listening comprehension. They were 17 members . The researcher used total sampling technique to take the sample so all population was sample. The instrument used was listening comprehension test. It, nonetheless, hardly becomes a major theme of foreign language learning in the Indonesian English Writing Classes/context nowadays. This study, therefore, aimed at diagnosing the “incorrect/missing uses of the seven elements of the textuality in the students’ cause and effect essay. Qualitatively, Politeknik Negeri Padang was the locus of the study. The 2nd-year ED students (n=32) were the research participants selected through the convenience sampling techniques. The documentation and observation were the techniques of data collection while the 1967 Corder’s Clinical elicitation was exercised as ways of analysing the data. The findings disclosed that the students missed using nominal substitution and lexical cohesion of repetition and synonym along with incorrectly used verbal and clausal substitution, nominal, verbal and clausal ellipsis, anaphoric and cataphoric references, and lexical cohesion of grammatical and lexical collocations. They, however, succeeded in correctly using three different types of conjunctions and coherence though they flopped to utilise the acceptable phrases of drawing a conclusion. Hyponymy, metonymy and antonymy were ignored. In conclusion, the deficiencies made the students’ sequences of sentences flawed and characterless. The subject of this research was the second year students of SMA Adabiah 2 Padang at 2022/2023 academic year. Out of 267 students, 20% of them were chosen to be the sample by using the cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by using a reading test and interview guideline. The results of this research show that from 232 total frequent for each indicator, the highest percentage made by the students was in identifying language feature question. There were 130 total difficulties with the percentage 56, 03%. While the lowest percentage made by the students was in identifying thesis statement questions. There are 99 total difficulties with the percentage 42, 67%. Related to the cause of difficulties, it was the language factors that students difficult to understand the long sentence and vocabulary in the text, and the last factor was the lack of reading strategies. It can be concluded that the students of SMA Adabiah 2 find it difficult in comprehending hortatory exposition text. It proves that more than 50% of students cannot answer the question of hortatory exposition text correctly. The sample of the population in this study was 34 students, the population was students in the tenth grade second semester of SMK 5 Padang, and the researcher took samples in the X Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik 1. which comprised of 34 students using cluster random sampling. A recall text was translated as an instrument in this study. The researcher discovered five sorts of errors produced by students in translating English narrative text into Indonesian language based on data received from a test given to students. Pembelajaran pada setiap pertemuan yang diterapkan oleh guru masih seperti bagaimana biasanya mereka melaksanakan pembelajaran yaitu dengan menjelaskan materi pelajaran, memberikan contoh-contoh penerapan, memberikan latihan, dan di akhir pembelajaran guru memberikan Pekerjaan Rumah (PR). Ketidakpahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep membuat kemampuan peserta didik jadi rendah. Berbagai usaha sudah dilakukan oleh guru, namun nilai peserta didik tetap belum mencapai KKM. Untuk itu perlu dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang dapat memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta didik untuk mengkonstruksikan pengetahuan dan meningkatkan hasil belajarnya. Pada penelitian ini, dikembangkan validitas perangkat pembelajaran berbasis ACE yang diharapkan mencapai sasaran tersebut. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dari upaya pengembangan ini adalah menghasikan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis ACE yang valid. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Plomp yang terdiri dari 3 tahap, yaitu preliminary, prototyping, dan assessment. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI Kuliner 2 SMK N 6 Padang. Validiasi perangkat pembelajaran dilakukan oleh pakar pendidikan matematika dan pakar Bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis ACE yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dengan nilai validitas aspek positif 4,43, sedangkan untuk aspek negatif mendapat nilai validitas 4,00 dengan kategori sangat valid. Siswa lebih menyukai untuk bermain peran dari naskah yang telah ada daripada menulis teks drama. Hal ini lah yang menjadikan pembelajaran menulis teks drama kurang diminati oleh siswa. Siswa juga kurang mampu dalam menyusun ide/ gagasan dalam bentuk tulisan secara sistematis. Banyak dari tulisan mereka yang tidak efektif dan berbelit-belit dari segi alur ceritanya. Beberapa penelitian lain juga menunjukkan bahwa menulis teks drama sulit dan mengalami beberapa kendala. Seperti penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Kusumawati, dkk (2016) dalam Jurnal pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. penelitian tesebut menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran menulis teks drama mengalami beberapa kendala baik dari faktor siswa maupun guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan tenik random sampling dengan jumlah 19 sampel. Data dianalisis dengan Pertama, memeriksa hasil kerja siswa sesuai dengan rubrik penilaian menulis teks drama. kedua, menentukan skor menulis teks drama. Ketiga, mengubah skor menjadi nilai. Keempat, menentukan nilai rata-rata hitung. Kelima, mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks drama. Keenam, memberikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks drama dengan menggunakan metode mind maping memperoleh nilai rata-rata 80,70. Berada pada rentang 76-85% dengan kualifikasi baik.
