The thickening agents used were lithium 12-hydroxystearate, Baragel (an oleophilic clay) and oleophilic graphite. Giltrow","doi":"10.1016/0041-2678(74)90013-X","DOIUrl":"10.1016/0041-2678(74)90013-X","url":null,"abstract":"<div><p>The abrasiveness of MoS<sub>2</sub> powders is not generally a simple function of their SiO<sub>2</sub> content, except for samples from a single source, for which a linear relationship between these two parameters is observed. The important factor in general is not merely the SiO<sub>2</sub> content, but the actual abrasiveness of the SiO<sub>2</sub>.
