Non seulement elle a trouve les conditions pour se developper dans les annees 1990, avec l’expansion de l’enseignement superieur et l’investissement dans la formation des enseignants et des educateurs, mais elle a aussi consolide et diversifie les pistes de recherche. Au cours des decennies suivantes, il y a eu une retraction de son expansion, mais elle a maintenu des dynamiques d’investigation actives et a augmente de maniere significative le nombre de publications et la participation aux evenements scientifiques. L’analyse des communications presentees au Congres Portugais de Sociologie (APS), sur trois decennies, revele les specificites de recherche de plusieurs groupes et universites, tout en confrontant la realite portugaise aux tendances internationales sur les problematiques etudiees, les approches theoriques et les dispositifs methodologiques.
