And although their frequency, intensity and duration are varied – just like the motives for their occurrence – their common elements are suffering, pain, fear and death of innocent people. The victims of armed conflicts are then forced to make efforts related to the struggle for survival, and some of them decide to migrate to safer places, even beyond the borders of their country. The article is a review, pointing to one of the sources of migration crises, which is the armed conflict. The author briefly refers to the conflicts and their consequences in recent history, focusing mainly on the current topic of aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, launched on February 24, 2022. It can be done thanks to the use of the sports fair play principle as – in the indications of many researchers – a universal principle. It is through its proper observance that we can teach making moral choices – as emphasized by Zofia Żukowska. The humanistic values of sport in the spirit of fair play allow for the development of socially acceptable attitudes. They can be the source of the hierarchy of values of a young person, which will guide them in everyday life situations. The aim of the article is to present the educational potential of sport with the principle of fair play as the basis of Olympism promoted by Pierre de Coubertin, the creator of the modern Olympic Games. The concept of crisis, its etymology and ways of presenting it in social sciences were shown. Psychological approaches to this category were highlighted as particularly important in counseling and social work. Basic styles of coping with stress, which is an inseparable element of crisis events, were characterized. The essence of the author’s concept of creative life orientation and the features of people preferring this type of orientation, which resulted from theoretical assumptions, and the results of twenty years of research on this category, were presented. Rutkowski","doi":"10.14746/kse.2022.21.7","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.14746/kse.2022.21.7","url":null,"abstract":"The article indicates that in the presence of various crises of foster care, there is a confusion of the district family support center, institutions not seeing and not hearing the needs of foster families and orphanages. It is emphasized that the reconstruction of the ability to hear problems and see the complex issues of foster care, for the district aid institution to go beyond the horizon of foster care, crises requires the dialogue and the courage to act in the field of social matters. Then, in the conditions of a local community, where the dialogue is practised, the district family support center regains the ability to see and hear the matters of the wounded world. As a result, the district family support center shapes the capacity of communication activities accompanied with the development of the local community. At the same time, this shift towards district local communities inhabitants’ everyday life is expressed in active care for foster care within the framework of dialogue workshops and educational activities. Research suggests that African American women use genetic counseling for BRCA less often than White Women. The aim of the review of research work presented in the article is to describe opportunities and barriers present in genetic counseling offered to black women, African-Americans and Latinos. DOI 10.14746/kse.2019.16.15. \u0000The post-modern reality, including the multitude of changes and expanding volumes of offers force the individual to continually redefine themselves. A person existing in contemporary reality is permanently on the search for their identity, in order to finally find the most suitable one, which (as it usually turns out nowadays) does not exist. Youths make a choice within the range of education offers. They more often than not decide to study, with studying being the reason for delaying the moment of entry into adulthood and taking over social roles that are specific for the period of young adulthood. In making this choice, young people enter the phase of so-called emerging adulthood, which for a while now has been a new, separate phase of development, fitting in between adolescence and young adulthood. They are not passing through the complex process of puberty any more, however, they do not always have a mature identity. They find themselves in a period characterised by intense exploration. DOI 10.14746/kse.2019.16.11. \u0000December 12, 2016 a group of eleven first-year students of history organized at the Institute of History of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (Poland) participated in the field work carried out in the church Roman Catholic parish of St. Jacob the Apostle in Toruń. During a visit in the temple the students performed an exercised to draw their attention: generally to the role of the imagination in the practice of the historian’s research and training his own imagination in whole live. First, the authoress described a process of the exercise. Then she briefly pointed to the literature on the role of the imagination. Later she discussed the work that have arisen in the result of the exercise. Next she characterized the thoughts and impressions of students. She also outlinedthe importance of this exercise in a broader context. It is being perceived as something described more in plural terms rather than as a whole and a universal pattern, despite the impact made on the debate by the globalisation discourse. Therefore, it is presently an object of study in many academic disciplines. However, the discipline, which shows the most significant interest in the scientific investigation of culture, is anthropology. This paper examines the key issues in the understanding of culture within anthropology and its relation to pedagogy.
