According to our analysis, as with traditional gravity model outcomes, it appears that the greater the per capita GDP and the shorter the distance between countries, the greater the effect on promoting trade. However, the trade-enhancing effect after the enforcement of the CPTPP has not yet been clearly confirmed. Nevertheless, if tariff abolition and reduction proceed as planned, the trade-enhancing effect of the CPTPP is expected to gradually expand. On the other hand, an increase in trade between Japan and CPTPP member countries may suggest a potential contraction in trade with non-member countries. This could pose a threat to Korean industries that need to establish a stable supply chain within the Asia-Pacific region. As Japan is South Korea's fourth largest trading partner, a detailed review of the impact of the CPTPP on future trade between Japan and its member countries should form the basis for discussions on Korea's possible participation in the CPTPP and the content of negotiations.","PeriodicalId":395795,"journal":{"name":"Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Praxis","volume":"8 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120858045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using data from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute's Working Conditions Survey, we conducted a multiple regression analysis and found, as expected, that ergonomic hazards negatively impact job satisfaction among scientists and engineers. We also explored the moderating effects of economic compensation, decision-making participation, and social support and discovered that only the moderating effect of decision-making participation was significant. Our results demonstrate that decision-making participation not only alleviates the negative impact of ergonomic hazards on job satisfaction but also mitigates their significance when the level of decision-making participation is high. Therefore, our study underscores the importance of reducing ergonomic hazards among scientists and engineers while simultaneously increasing their level of decision-making participation.","PeriodicalId":395795,"journal":{"name":"Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Praxis","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114691324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To tackle these concerns, the Korean government undertook a reorganization of the direct payment program in 2020. This reorganization brought about a substantial increase in the overall amount of direct payment, while also promoting equity among farm households through the introduction of direct payments specifically aimed at small farmers, among other measures. Although the reform of the direct payment program for public interest has generally been acknowledged as successful, it is believed that expanding the optional direct payment program would be a more effective approach to further enhance the value of public interest, which constituted the primary objective of the reform. By expanding the optional direct payment program, greater strides can be made towards achieving the desired improvement in public-purpose value.","PeriodicalId":395795,"journal":{"name":"Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Praxis","volume":"166 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120866136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, two field surveys were conducted on hydraulic characteristic data such as longitudinal and cross-sectional data of rivers and roughness coefficient, and boundary conditions were set by establishing flow data for one-dimensional numerical simulation and calculating the starting point of water level. The water level was derived from the results of one-dimensional hydraulic characteristic analysis according to the 「Jocheon Basic River Plan」 as input data for the RMA-2 model. Lastly, the riverbed changes in the entire section of the target river and the facility installation section were confirmed and analyzed through SED-2D simulation using the calculated flow velocity. As a result, it was analyzed that the width of the river has a great influence on the flow rate. In additon to this, the concentration of suspended sediment flowing into the upstream has the most influence on the change of the river bed.","PeriodicalId":395795,"journal":{"name":"Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Praxis","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129659481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The MEEP included a five-hour orientation session, team-based case analysis, and role-play scenario writing and demonstration. In September and October 2021, the MEEP was used on 72 third-year nursing students from one college who had been simply divided into a control group (n = 38) or an intervention group (n = 34). Results indicated no significant difference in clinical competency between the two groups (t = 1.82, p = .073), but communication and nursing processes, which are sub-factors of clinical performance, significantly improved in the intervention group (t = 2.93, p = .005; t = 2.25, p = .027). No significant difference in problem-solving efficacy was found (t = −0.60, p = .549), but the intervention group reported significantly higher learning satisfaction (t = 2.48, p = .016). The study suggests that nursing education programs utilizing the metaverse should be developed on various topics.","PeriodicalId":395795,"journal":{"name":"Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Praxis","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126659867","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First of all, problems in the current public-private partnership were reviewed, and the direction of cooperative governance centered on the non-profit sector was presented. In addition, the study emphasized alternatives to strengthen the capabilities of volunteer organizations, which are representative non-profit organizations at disaster sites. Above all, disaster volunteer organizations need to secure a professional and differentiated status as a key decision-making stakeholder at disaster sites. As a result, the directions of change to strengthen the competency of the non-profit sector are organizational redesign through overall job analysis of the organization, securing expertise in disaster types occurring in the region, establishing one direction based on strategic planning. In addition, activation of communication to build trust with local residents and sophisticated decision-making and analysis skills will be required.","PeriodicalId":395795,"journal":{"name":"Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Praxis","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116280085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite nationwide efforts to mitigate flood damages, which primarily focus on major rivers, smaller rivers and urban catchments still experience frequent floods. This study utilized a semi-distributed hydrologic model and SWMM to consider the potential backwater effect on inland flooding. Through complementary analysis using observed rainfall and flow data from early October 2016 (Typhoon Chaba), the study was conducted on the Yugok Catchment. The results demonstrate the advantages of the semi-distributed model, which can handle spatial-temporal rainfall distribution and infiltration parameters while maintaining relatively faster calculation speed compared to a fully-distributed model. Furthermore, this study suggests that integrating the model with the SWMM can provide sufficient, accurate, and prompt information to enable effective flood crisis management plan.","PeriodicalId":395795,"journal":{"name":"Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Praxis","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131661837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
