One of the active ingredients of electric mosquito repellent, namely d-allethrin, cangenerate free radicals resulting in oxidative stress. Oxidative stress on the testes can interfere with the spermatogenesis stage in the seminiferous tubules.Objective: Determine the histopathology of seminiferous tubules of Wistar rats exposed to electric mosquito repellents with the active ingredient d-allethrin.Methods: This study used a true experimental design with a post test only control group design. A sample of 25 Wistar rats was divided into 5 groups. The control group (K) was given only standard feed. Treatment group 1 (P1), treatment group 2 (P2), treatment group 3 (P3), and treatment group 4 (P4) were exposed to electric mosquito repellents with active ingredient d-allethrin sequentially for 8 hours/day, 12 hours/day, 18 hours/day, and 24 hours/day. After 30 days the rats were terminated. The testes were taken for histopathological observation with HE staining and assessed according to the Johnsen score criteria.Results: Based on the score, the mean value of the control group was 9.4, P1: 8.36, P2: namely 7.68, P3: 5.84, and P4: 5.64.The results of statistical tests using the one way Anova showed a significant difference (p <0.001).Conclusion: Exposure to electric mosquito repellent containing the active ingredient d-allethrin caused differences in the histopathology of seminiferous tubules score of Wistar rats.","PeriodicalId":394284,"journal":{"name":"DIPONEGORO MEDICAL JOURNAL (JURNAL KEDOKTERAN DIPONEGORO)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129028489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In sick children, in addition to maintaining growth and development, fulfilling nutritional needs is very useful for accelerating the healing process, shortening the treatment period, reducing the occurrence of complications, reducing morbidity and mortality and preventing malnutrition due to medication or medical action. The purpose of this case is to report a case in Semarang and conduct a discussion of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus cases and the complication so that proper treatment can immediately start.Case Presentation: a 10-year-old girl came complaining of difficulty walking, patient's face was also swollen. Patients with a history of SLE, lupus nephritis, normotension on control, and had undergone 4 times CPA treatment but stopped since March 2020. The patient will continue the 2nd month of Cyclophosphamide (CPA) treatment, but the laboratory examination results show proteinuria +3, the patient also found good nutrition, short stature, and underweight, patient advised to be hospitalized.Conclusion: The patient was diagnosed with SLE, lupus nephritis, normotension on control, short stature, and underweight. Handling anxiety can be done with aromatherapy, one is lemon aromatherapy.Aim: To determine the effect of lemon aromatherapy on anxiety levels and the correlation of anxiety levels with the results of MAP, pulse rate, and respiratory rate in tooth extraction patients at RSND SemarangMethod: Experimental study with pretest and posttest control group design with sampling simple random to get 40 respondents that indicated as extraction teeth patient. Respondents were divided into 2 groups: 20 control respondents and 20 intervention respondents. Anxiety level was measured by the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS) questionnaire. Data that was not distributed normally were the difference in pulse rate and the difference in respiratory rate, while the results of the homogeneity test obtained data that were not homogeneous were the difference between the MDAS questionnaire and the difference in the MAP. The rest of the mentioned data above were all distributed normally and homogeneous. However, acidic environmental conditions can degrade the composite resins, resulting in increased surface roughness of the resin, and consequently lead to an increased risk of caries.Objective: the purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of immersion in acidic drinks on the surface roughness of composite resins,Method: In this study 24 samples of bulk fillTM  composite resins were used. Samples were divided into four groups. Each sample was immersed for 5 seconds in either artificial saliva (control), carbonated beverage, isotonic, or yogurt, and followed by 5 seconds immersion in saliva. This cycle was repeated for 20 times for 14 consecutive days. The roughness of composite resin before and after 14 days immersion was measured by using a profilometer. Microscopic structures were analyzed by Scanning electron Microscope (SEM). Statistical analysis was used paired t-test, Anova and Post Hoc LSD.Results: Data from each sample group was normally distributed- with p > 0.05. The paired t-test for each group showed a p-value < 0.05, which indicates there was a significant difference between surface roughness before and after immersion. ANOVA analysis revealed that there was a difference in the surface roughness between groups LSD test, showed that there was difference in the surface roughness between artificial saliva with carbonated drink, isotonic drink with carbonated drink, yoghurt drink with carbonated drink (p<0.0001), between artificial saliva group with yoghurt drink, yoghurt drink with carbonated drink, yoghurt drink with isotonic drink (p <0.05) which means there was a significant difference between group. Meanwhile, the isotonic drinks with artificial saliva obtained results (p>0.05), which means there is no significant difference.Conclusion: Exposure of carbonated drinks, yoghurt drinks, and isotonic drinks can significantly increase the roughness of the surface Bulk Fill resin composite compared to exposure of artificial saliva.Keywords: Composite resin, Bulk Fill, Surface Roughness, Acid","PeriodicalId":394284,"journal":{"name":"DIPONEGORO MEDICAL JOURNAL (JURNAL KEDOKTERAN DIPONEGORO)","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114527270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
