The object of scientific research is the sphere of telecommunications, computer and information services from 2000 to 2023, and the analysis of indicators of the export of services in this sphere, the expansion of digital opportunities of entrepreneurship due to the introduction of products and services of the information and communication sphere as one of the key reserves of innovative and digital development during post-war reconstruction. Types of offset obligations for the purchase of imported products are presented, including: transfer of technologies, opening of joint production in the territory of the importer; direct investments, development of digital infrastructure, and investments in R&D. Measures to promote the digitization of traditional entrepreneurship are named, in particular: the creation of the Digital Bank of Innovative Development of Ukraine and the introduction of preferential taxation of incomes of newly created digital enterprises in the field of digital and innovation. It was determined that the creation of favorable conditions for innovation, investment, and commercial activities of digital enterprises, within the national digital ecosystem in technology parks, will speed up the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine’s economy. The practical significance of the research results is that the content of practical advice, the use of which will make it possible to preserve the positive dynamics of the export of services in terms of telecommunications, computer, and information services, regardless of the state of war in Ukraine, is disclosed. The value of the presented research is that having conducted a thorough analysis of statistical data on the dynamics of the export of business services and the dynamics of the export of services in the field of telecommunications, computer, and information services from 2000 to 2023, the authors managed to determine the relative error of approximation – a criterion for assessing the reliability of the forecast, which was 1.74% and to consider the approximation quality, and the forecast for 2026 is reliable. We consider this to be one of the opportunities for the country to make money by selling a quality product in foreign markets and as a result increasing the GDP. It is proposed to develop a program to support digital entrepreneurship in the field of information and communication technologies and to open regional technocenters for joint work with local entrepreneurs.","PeriodicalId":39427,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics","volume":" 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141676972","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

IPR strengthening positively affects firms’ research and development activities and thus their innovative ability. Consequently, acquirer firms can improve their innovation quotient by pursuing target firms in regions undertaking IPR protection and enforcement measures. The present study examines the impact of IPR protection on 20,363 inbound M&A deals engaged in 42 countries between the years 2014 to 2019. Differing from the use of conventionally employed, Ginarte and Park index available in a five-yearly interval, which evaluates only Patents, this paper proxies IPR strengthening through a more comprehensive annual intellectual property (IP) index (covering other intellectual assets like copyrights, trademarks, etc. besides patents) constructed by Global Innovation Policy Center, U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Estimates from panel regression, including country and year-fixed effects, indicate that reforms that improve IP protection in a target country are positively and, to a more considerable extent, significantly associated with an increase in inbound cross-border M&As. In addition, the impact is weakly significant when target firms belong to emerging countries. This study sheds light on whether IPR protection influences corporate decision-making. The results suggest that acquirers look forward to regions undertaking efforts to improve their IP ecosystem, either to protect their intellectual capital transmitted through technology transfer or to acquire targets high on innovative quotient.","PeriodicalId":39427,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics","volume":"60 21","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141102169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considerations relate to strategic behavior of countries’ leadership, in that ensuring food security is essential to avoid dependence on other countries for food supply. However, recent decades’ objectives have been focused on farmers’ income stability as well as on the environmental impacts of agriculture. While there is a consensus on the depressing effects on consumers’ and taxpayers’ welfare, the discussions on the public policy impacts on the agricultural outcome are of a wider range. Empirical studies at the farm level doubt the positive effect of farm support on their technical efficiency. This paper provides an analysis of the role of Producer Support Estimate (PSE) as a source of assistance on a commodity basis in a group of OECD and other big agricultural traders. With a special focus on the Producer Single Commodity Transfer (PSCT) effect on the countries’ commodity production levels, the general finding is that the government intervention in specific commodities investigated here may not be efficient.","PeriodicalId":39427,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics","volume":"6 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141101262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since 2016, China and Saudi Arabia have strongly supported and complemented each other via China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the Saudi Vision 2030. In January 2016, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a grand state visit to Saudi Arabia, during which both countries decided to enter a comprehensive strategic partnership. Later in March 2017, Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz visited China and endorsed the Belt and Road Initiative project of China. By reciprocating, China expressed its support for Saudi Arabia’s pursuit of the 2030 Vision and offered its help to Saudi Arabia in achieving a diversified economy. So, both countries are busy in cementing their relations upon the synergy of their two signature programs i.e. China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030.
