Malinin","doi":"10.3103/s1068371224010024","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3103/s1068371224010024","url":null,"abstract":"<h3 data-test=\"abstract-sub-heading\">Abstract</h3><p>Solutions of equations of mathematical physics for the 3D Laplace equation for a hollow cylinder are used to develop an analytical model of an inverted disk magnetoelectric motor with two axial air gaps based on the Fourier variable separation method. Unknown constants of this method are found using four known boundary conditions of the electromagnetic field on the common end surfaces of hollow cylinders: scalar magnetic potentials and three coordinate components of magnetic induction do not undergo a jump (discontinuity). If, for convenience of calculation, the magnetic sheets of the windings are located at these boundaries, the magnetic potentials on them will undergo a jump equal to the total current of the magnetic sheet. The distribution curves of magnetic inductions in the air gaps and the values of the electromagnetic torque of the motor are obtained, which are compared with the results of numerical calculation using the Ansys Maxwell program. For this purpose, the Easy-MAG3D software based on spatial integral equations was used, which made it possible, thanks to the use of parallel computing processes, to calculate the magnetic field in a full three-dimensional formulation. Studies of the main negative phenomena that occur in the mode of reactive power consumption and affect the state of the turbo generator, namely, saturation of the stator and rotor cores and an increase in the axial component of magnetic induction in the end zone of the stator, leading to increased losses and increased heating, as well as changes in electromagnetic forces occurring in the frontal parts of the stator winding. These machines are used in light electric transport: electric and hybrid cars and electric and hybrid buses. Unlike SMPM with a rotor design that has surface magnets, SMPM with built-in magnets can operate above rated speeds by rational controlling the stator current. Zakharov","doi":"10.3103/s1068371224010061","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3103/s1068371224010061","url":null,"abstract":"<h3 data-test=\"abstract-sub-heading\">Abstract</h3><p>An increase in losses and electromagnetic noise of induction motors and wave overvoltages when a motor is operating from a frequency converter with pulse-width modulation of voltage due to higher temporary harmonics of voltage and current to a certain extent can be compensated by the use of combined windings, which reduce differential dissipation and inductive reactance, weakening of wave overvoltages, additional losses, and electromagnetic noise from a magnetic field’s higher spatial harmonics. The use of a combined winding with a doubled number of parallel structures when connecting the star and triangle (D connection) windings in parallel in frequency-controlled asynchronous motors makes it possible to use thinner wires and to reduce additional losses and displacement of current by higher temporary harmonics of a current. Parameters of combined windings must be selected based on a refined analysis of electromagnetic processes due to the possibility of the occurrence of equalizing currents in the circuits between the phases of different windings. An algorithm for the interaction of coupled circuit electromechanical and field electromagnetic models is proposed, which allows for refined modeling of an operation of induction motors with combined windings from a frequency converter with pulse-width modulation of voltage. At the first stage of the work, the overload capacity of the computational model of an IMRW was analyzed using the finite element method, the calculation being carried out in stages, taking into account the production and physical features of the IMRW prototype design. The IMRW model takes into account the influence of the oxide film on stator core sheets, technological gaps, eddy currents, and temperature conditions of the stator and rotor windings on the overload capacity of the IMRW. At the second stage, the mechanical characteristics of the IMRW were analytically calculated in the Ansys program using the parameters of the equivalent circuit determined by analyzing the design model of the motor. Such converters are used in wind power plants, power transmission, and electric drives. The energy reserves in an MMC are distributed among many TCBs. The voltages and currents at the input and output of the MMC have small distortions, but control systems are complex, A decrease in the frequency of currents at the input or output of the MMC leads to an increase in voltage ripples of TCB capacitors. To limit pulsations, internal contour currents are introduced into the MMC, and zero sequence components are used in control devices. The article presents high-speed models of systems with MMC, and the efficiency of control algorithms for an inverter with a passive load, as well as an electric drive with MMC and an induction motor is evaluated. The feasibility of using deflection systems with an internal magnetic circuit and toroidal coil sections to form deflection fields that ensure azimuth beam rotation with a constant angle of deviation from the vertical axis is substantiated. The potential of computer modeling is shown both at the stage of calculating the deflection field and beam displacement and at the stage of creating the design of the system frame for its subsequent manufacture based on 3D printing. The main coil parameters are determined, and the circuit diagram of a current stabilizer with external control from a digital-to-analog converter is developed. Dependences are presented showing the relationship between control signals and deflection angles in the developed unit prototype. Insufficient accuracy in calculating design parameters due to imperfections of a design method can cause several issues, such as reduced bearing capacity of magnetic bearings and complication of control system algorithms.
