However, in China, compared with large firms, SMEs' innovation capability and innovation performance are generally low. Constructing collaboration networks is an effective way for SMEs to improve their innovation performance. This study classified collaboration networks into formal collaboration networks and informal collaboration networks, and tried to examine their effects on innovation performance of SMEs. Besides, this study also investigated how these relationships can be moderated by intellectual property protection. We tested these hypotheses using hierarchical regression analysis on a sample of 174 manufacturing SMEs operating in China. The findings from the analysis showed that both formal and informal collaboration networks positively affect innovation performance of SMEs, and informal collaboration networks offer greater benefits than formal collaboration networks. Furthermore, the moderating effects of intellectual property protection on the relationships between formal and informal collaboration networks and SMEs' innovation performance are supported.","PeriodicalId":391964,"journal":{"name":"2022 8th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM)","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124862320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) focusing on distribution and marketing, this is directly associated with proper inventory and warehouse management, since their main processes and activities are developed in this area. This case study focuses on the application of the Lean Warehousing methodology through Demand Forecasting, Inventory Policies, and the improvement of the Picking and Packaging processes to increase service levels, based on the Perfect Order indicators at a SME retailer. The assessment analysis denoted that the current service level of the company was at 87.31%. This happens because some orders of the XYZ brand are not fulfilled correctly, which has generated costs for penalties and rejections at 11.04% of the annual turnover of the main products from this brand in 2019. It is expected that, with this methodology, the company's service level will reach at least 95%, which is the minimum to be in suitable conditions to satisfy customer requirements.","PeriodicalId":391964,"journal":{"name":"2022 8th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114163658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We consider the financial model as a projection of the business model into formal financial language. The paper has a conceptual research character. Based on well-established terms we introduce the method of business model changing. We employ both methods of relationship matrix and morphological matrix to rank the business model components for changing based on sensitivity analysis of the business model, and propose a formal logic of generating ideas for these changes. The proposed method should complement other methods of business model change, especially ones that are focused on the analysis of the firm's external environment. The paper contributes to the methods of business model changing. The study has limitations. In particular, the paper shows only the opportunities of using the sensitivity analysis to rank business model changes, while other methods of financial analysis could give crucial information about business model behavior under different conditions: risks, explanation, robustness, etc. Further research should expand and formalize the analysis of financial models with aim of business model reconfiguration.","PeriodicalId":391964,"journal":{"name":"2022 8th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128604931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, it examines the effect of applying dimensionality reduction on classification performance. For validation, we use a subset of the NSL-KDD dataset, a widely applied dataset in this domain. Our results indicate that seven classification algorithms perform well on the dataset and based on the accuracy and false positive rate measure. The best reported accuracy results are using Random Forest algorithm with 80.5% accuracy. To enhance the classification performance, we use two dimensionality reduction algorithms: Principal Component analysis (PCA) feature reduction algorithm and BestFirst feature selection algorithm. PCA is effective in enhancing the performance of four algorithms with ranges of improvements from (1.0% – 4.1 %). Moreover, BestFirst algorithm is effective in enhancing the performance of five algorithms with improvements ranging from (0.1 % – 2.0%). In addition, there is saving in the training time after feature selection with slightly better results compared to the original full feature set.","PeriodicalId":391964,"journal":{"name":"2022 8th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129949075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this industry often faces challenges such as low productivity rates and lack of information for operators. Within this context, this study assessed a small metalworking company currently experiencing losses derived from late order penalties. Hence, the implementation of a Production Management model based on Lean Kanban, SMED, Poka- Yoke, Report A3, the 5S and VSM is proposed herein, seeking to optimize methods, organize workstations, and improve purchasing and Production Management, thus considerably reducing waste in the organization. Furthermore, through the implementation of this model, an increase in order fulfillment and productivity rates is expected, as well as a reduction in Cycle and Setup times.","PeriodicalId":391964,"journal":{"name":"2022 8th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126202844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, compared with its rapid development, consumers' usage rate of chatbots still has room for growth. Therefore, this study aims to elucidate the factors that determine consumers' continuous usage of chatbots. Grounded on the multiple reference effects model, this study examines the role of the focal-object referents, other-object referents, and self-based referents in the judgment process, and uses mood as a moderating variable. Focal-object referents stand for consumers' evaluation results of the chatbot service performance with their expectations. Other-object referents are the performance of the alternative options that can be assessed by consumers compared with the focal object. Self-based referents indicate the self-image of consumers compared with the image of the focal object. The potential implications of this study were further discussed.","PeriodicalId":391964,"journal":{"name":"2022 8th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124565780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to its performance during 2019, low effectiveness of the dispatch process is defined as the main problem, at 66.03% whereas the target value is 90.25%. Deficient dispatch planning, stockouts and the non-existent control of transportation providers were identified as root causes. Based on the literature reviewed, a Plan-Do-Check-Act model is proposed to increase the effectiveness of the dispatch process by applying the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) methodology in main collaboration with Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model, thus improving dispatch plan compliance rates by 5%, the service level of transportation companies by 39% and stockouts by −20%, to ensure the effectiveness of the proposed model. Unlike other studies, this one is focused on the use of resources and not on dispatch execution. The implementation of this model generated an increase in process effectiveness of 86%.","PeriodicalId":391964,"journal":{"name":"2022 8th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM)","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122339044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
