However, this industry often faces challenges such as low productivity rates and lack of information for operators. Within this context, this study assessed a small metalworking company currently experiencing losses derived from late order penalties. Hence, the implementation of a Production Management model based on Lean Kanban, SMED, Poka- Yoke, Report A3, the 5S and VSM is proposed herein, seeking to optimize methods, organize workstations, and improve purchasing and Production Management, thus considerably reducing waste in the organization.
