This paper design a BaTiO3 polycrystalline model including four grains, and the effect of grain orientation difference on the ferroelectricity and ECE of polycrystalline ferroelectrics is studied. The results show that the ferroelectricity of polycrystals gradually weakens with the increase of orientation difference, and with the temperature increases, the ferroelectricity gradually loses. The reduction of the grain orientation difference will produce a large adiabatic temperature change near the Curie-Weiss temperature of BaTiO3, about 5.38 K, meanwhile a negative ECE can be observed, about -2.36 K when the orientation difference reaches 45°. This work shows that regulating grain arrangement can obtain a better mechanical-thermal coupling performance than randomly distributed polycrystalline ferroelectrics.","PeriodicalId":387693,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127771345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A four terminal ECM is used to model the energy conversion of the stator under contact-based operating condition, where a nonlinear RC branch with an adjustable capacitance is included in mechanical branch for capturing the variable contact stiffness under different preloads. The friction drive mechanism is modeled by a thyristor rectifier with RL load to characterize the intermittent contact characteristics in standing-wave ultrasonic motors. The output terminal voltage of the rectifier is used as the input to a RL type ECM of the mover. Finally, the dynamics of the motor including the electrical admittance characteristics of the stator under contact-based boundary, the dead-zone behavior and the transient velocity response were validated and discussed by the proposed ECM.","PeriodicalId":387693,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121947479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the thin membrane is significantly susceptible to vibrations attributed to loads (e.g., environmental temperature variations during the preparation), which reduces the efficiency and accuracy of thin membrane preparation. This study investigates the linear free vibration characteristics exhibited by the axially moving flexible thin membrane under the temperature effect. The D’Alembert principle is referenced to yield differential equation of motion of the axially moving thin membrane that introduces the temperature effect. After the dimension is normalized, it is simplified into a dimensionless mode differential equation. The differential quadrature method is adopted to solve the differential equation of motion of the four sides simply supported boundary condition, and this study analyzes the effect of the vibration characteristics exhibited by the moving flexible thin membrane under the changes of the dimensionless temperature coefficient and tension ratio of the thin membrane system. Furthermore, the critical velocity of instability, unstable operation interval and stable recovery velocity of the moving thin membrane are determined under the temperature effect.","PeriodicalId":387693,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132513216","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In dynamic measurement, the hydraulic oil is alternately compressed by the piezoelectric actuator and the piezoelectric ceramic sheet served as a sensor in the chamber can detect the pressure variation and output the alternating voltage, which can reflect the characteristics of effective bulk modulus of hydraulic oil. Then the effects of working pressure up to 10 MPa and whether to exhaust the air on the effective bulk modulus of hydraulic oil are experimentally studied. Firstly, acoustic signal penetrating through the device can be converted into electrical signal by using acoustic sensor. Then the A/D conversion module of STM32 is used to convert the electrical signal into digital signal. After that, through serial port communication, the data information collected by STM32 is transmitted to the computer and the threshold value is set by Matlab software. If the collected data is higher than the threshold value, it is considered qualified, and if it is less than the threshold value, it is considered unqualified, so as to analyze whether the thickness of the device is qualified. The system can provide new ideas and methods for detecting whether the thickness of the device is qualified and also save time, improve efficiency and accuracy.","PeriodicalId":387693,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132095949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
