So for proper operation, reliable power supply is needed. In this paper fuzzy logic method is used for detection of fault and its classification. In this method, voltage and current at one end of the transmission line is used for fault detection and classification. This fault detection method is tested on IEEE-39 bus transmission system using MATLAB software. To meet the increased demand transmission line operates near their operating limit. Power system is unable to meet the increased load demand, and this causes deficiency of both active and reactive power. Reactive power compensation is used to improve the voltage profile of the system; it is one of the most effective ways of enhancing the working situation of transmission. The main apprehension in the effective reactive power compensation is location and size of VAR supporting devices in the transmission network. In the present work to achieve effective management of reactive power three sensitivity factors i.e. Voltage Sensitivity Factor (VSF), Voltage Stability Index (VSI), and Loss Sensitivity Factor (LSF)have been used for finding the suitable candidate bus for reactive power support and thereafter Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA)have been used for finding the optimal quantity of the reactive power support. The obtained results are compared with the general case when only one of the sensitivity factors is used. The proposed algorithm maintains constant DC-link voltage and extracts fundamental weighted values of load currents to es timate reference current. Thes e reference currents are utilized by DSTATCOM to mitigate the power quality. The dq0 approach is used to model synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus. The Adams fourth order predictor-corrector method with starter as fourth order Runge-Kutta method is used to numerically simulate the torque developed by the synchronous generator connected to load using MATLAB. Small and medium customers are constituted by domestic user, big malls, hospitals, educational institutions, medium and small sized traders. This medium and tiny sector deserves uninterrupted hassle free and quality power for their daily run. Interruption in power distribution affects distributors' image, revenue lost (cost incurred for production of power is not recovered from clientele) can be eradicated by using the concept of placing voltage sag mitigating devices. Optimal selection of voltage sag mitigating devices is based on the parameters like capacity, size, cost and load factors (for specific placement of devices). Whale optimization algorithm has been applied as tool. The present study is focused on the viability of environmentally benign heterogeneous catalyst synthesis from water hyacinth (WH) a renewable aquatic plant considered hazard for other useful aquatic crops. The synthesized catalyst was characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), powder X-ray diffractograms (XRD), energy dispersive analysis of X-ray (EDAX), brunauer-emmett-teller (BET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and hammett indicator analysis. The catalyst demonstrated a superior catalytic performance achieving fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) conversion of 97.1 % in 3 h. The catalyst could be reused efficiently with FAME conversion of more than 80 % after the third cycles. The objective of the proposed work is to design an observer which can estimate the inflow to the control valve by soft computation techniques, so as to detect the faults in the control valve. Orifice flow meter is placed at the outlet of the control valve for measurement of outflow. By analyzing the behavior of control valve for different input signal, in flow to the control valve is estimated. Control valve works on the principle of regulating the inflow based on the control signal. Performance of the control valve can be established by measuring outflow, by knowing input signal and estimation of inflow to the control valve. To estimate the inflow, neural network based model is incorporated in the proposed work. Designed estimator is compared with the standard signal to evaluate the performance. Closed loop voltage balancing techniques are not required for maintaining the desired capacitor voltage. The capacitor of the half bridge based LDN, has to be in charging operation for half-a-cycle and discharging for the rest half. This results in a large voltage ripple across the capacitor, during low frequency operation of the inverter. A large value of capacitance is required to suppress the ripple voltage. This paper presents a method to reduce the size of LDN capacitor keeping the voltage ripple within limits by extending the half-bridge LDN to full-bridge. Extraction of fine details of desired regions worth for further processing and decision making. Usually the data bases of remote sensing imageries are very huge that overburden the processor. Super-Resolution overcomes this problem and yields a high-quality output in less time consumption. This paper aims to give a brief idea about one of the approaches of super-resolution known as blind super-resolution reconstruction approach. In this approach, Greatest Common Divisor (GCD) algorithm is embedded into the blind reconstruction technique. The HR images obtained from this method is compared with the interpolated images. The results shows the efficacy of the proposed method.
