It is very much essential to detect and process ECG signal accurately. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is an effective mechanism to analyze the cardiac health of a patient. In this paper we proposed new technique to detect linear as well as non-linear characteristics of 24 hour HRV data based on circadian rhythm. A circadian rhythm is nothing but a approximately 24 hour clock present in living beings within the physiological process, which affects the HRV. The motivation of this paper is to define the set of rules for 24 hour HRV data, so that it will be easily applicable. As HRV is self similar, so we have to find the self similarity of 24 hour HRV data into 5-10 min of HRV data.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127871379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Users will share their knowledge and emotions in their own languages. This will create a novel syntax to communicate their messages with as much as pithiness as possible. Noisy text is characterized by unusual forms such as abbreviations, phonetic translations, short forms etc. This led to the emergence of text normalization. Cleaning the noisy text has become an important factor for adequate development and deployment of NLP (Natural Language Processing) services such as text-to-speech and automatic translation. In this paper we introduce a channel based normalization model for cleaning the noisy texts. The normalization is based on the types of distortion such as grapheme distortion, abbreviation and phoneme distortion. The model will explore the type of distortion occurred in the noisy word and replace it by using the different channel list. Precursory evaluation shows that the channel model will normalize the noisy word to their standard peer with 96.43 % accuracy.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133804073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At each contraction of the heart, blood is forced through the peripheral vessels producing engorgement of the vessels under the light source, there by modifying the amount of light reflected to the photo sensor. Arterial pressure is one of the most important physiological parameters for the noninvasive diagnosis and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases. The aim of the project is to develop a reflectance type photoplethysmographic sensor to record the peripheral pulse wave by using various sources. In this study total 21 sources (diffused and clear LEDs) of 3mm and 5mm diameter were used. Opt101 was used as a detector for all the sources and effect the of various sources on PPG in the form of peak-peak voltage was studied. The photoplethysmographic signals are obtained from 8 subjects of different age group and gender. It was seen that the penetration of IR light into the human tissue is more than that of the visible light. Peak-peak voltage of PPG waveform for a clear LED with 3mm diameter was highest than any other LED of the same wavelength and diameter.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123891259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its salient features and limitations are discussed and then compared with the existing charger/discharger topologies. State-space analysis is used to establish discrete-time modeling and other small-signal transfer functions expressions of the proposed bidirectional topology. These models are subsequently used for controllers design, which are capable of ensuring reliable charging and discharging operations. Then the robustness of the designed controllers is verified and necessary and sufficient conditions on nominal performance, robust stability and the robust performance conditions are obtained. Charging and discharging features of the proposed topology is verified through timedomain simulations and then compared with experimentally measured results.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129287629","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to its vast application in real world application distributed data mining has been a most familiar research interest. As the associative classification technique proved to be most efficient classifier compare to other classifiers we can found certain proposals in literature which can perform associative classification over distributed databases. Even after incremental data mining proved to be most optimized way to upgrade mined rules when new set of transaction added to database, there are lack of proposals which can perform incremental mining over distributed databases. Considering these issues the article presents incremental associative classification model over horizontally distributed databases. Experimental conducted using synthesized datasets has shown encouraging results.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121821566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Numerous attempts are being made to process this large amount of data in a fast and effective manner. Hadoop MapReduce is one such software framework that has gained popularity in the last few years for distributed computation of Big Data. It provides a scalable, economical and easier way to process massive amounts of data in-parallel on large computing cluster preserving the properties of fault tolerance in a transparent manner. However, Hadoop always stores intermediate results to the local disk for running iterative jobs. As a result, Hadoop usually suffers from long execution runtimes for iterative jobs as it typically pays a high I/O cost, wasting CPU cycles and network bandwidth. This paper analyses the problems of existing Hadoop and compare its performance against iMapReduce and HaLoop for graph based iterative algorithms. HaLoop offers better performance as it stores intermediate results in cache and reuses those data on the next successive iteration. For using cache invariant data (inter-iteration locality) it schedules the tasks onto the same node that might occur in different iterations.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132295300","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Advantage with multihomed host is that some of the traffic from more congested paths can be shifted to less congested path, thus controls congestion. In this paper we consider about Multipath TCP (MPTCP), which suffers from the degradation of goodput in the presence of changing network conditions on the available subflows due to out-of-order received packets. Cause of degradation is the large variation of end-to-end delay for multiple paths over wireless channels. To diminish the variation of end-to-end path delay, the proposed scheme uses congestion window adaption (CWA) algorithm to employ MPTCP source. Also to reduce the time of packet reordering at the receiver, a scheduling algorithm is employed for the MPTCP sender.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122007038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
