Here is a method to detect eye movements from Electroencephalography (EEG) recording. The study was started considering vertigo patients and similarity was observed in the waveform of ENG and single channel EEG recording. The signals obtained were processed and peaks were found by using first derivative. A simple aspectis built to trace the eye movements whether it is center gaze, right gaze or left gaze. Results observed were accurate when the gaze started from center gaze position. This method can also be used to track eye movements during sleep. Eye movements from beginning were ranked in order. The total time taken to display the order of eye movement was about 0.7981 sec.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128243081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be the most serious form of computer abuse. Since masquerade detection is an anomaly based intrusion detection, a legitimate user profile is created and detection is done based on this user profile. In this paper, User profile is created from covariance matrices. A noticeable deviation from legitimate user profile is classified as masquerade attack. The work is done on the Schonlau dataset [1]. The present work aims to reduce leakage power without affecting the logic state of SRAM cell. For achieving this subthreshold operation is carried out. Furthermore two different techniques are analyzed for the same namely forced stack transistor technique and sleep transistor technique. It is seen from the analysis that sleep transistor technique shows less average power dissipation compared to others whereas forced stack transistor technique gives minimum average delay compared to others. A convincing power reduction is achieved in a SRAM cell with minimum critical path delay using sleep transistor technique. Simulations are carried out using TSPICE for 90nm, 45nm and 32nm CMOS technology nodes. For subthreshold operation the supply voltage 0.35V is used.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131755145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is required to develop new content based search system low computational cost and enhanced retrieval accuracy. In this paper, we have presented an efficient and effective retrieval method based on Dual Tree-Rotated Complex Wavelet Filter and fuzzy histogram using fuzzy similarity approach. The retrieval is carried out by decomposing the images in the database using the wavelet and extracting texture features of the sub bands as feature vector components. The color features are obtained with fuzzy histogram using histogram linking method. The retrieval results are further improved by implementing fixed weight selective relevance feedback approach that selects and trains only the images with poor retrieval accuracy. The retrieval results obtained using selective relevance feedback approach is compared with the retrieval results of relevance feedback approach which trains all the images in database for computation time and complexity. The experimental results indicate that retrieval with selective relevance feedback provide an improvement in average retrieval accuracy of around 14% over retrieval without feedback with a reduction of approximately 70% less time as compared to retrieval results obtained with the relevance feedback approach.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117327705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With our zeal and zest we have been successful in harnessing the energy into electrical form from the available forms. One of the major form of energy lies in mechanical processes and vibrations. Piezoelectric is one such method to harness electrical energy from vibrations and mechanical stress of an object. Much of research has been done in this field but a lot still needs to be done. My aim by this paper is to emphasize on the means to convert vibrational energy into electrical energy with the help of piezoelectric materials. There are many possible materials suitable to work as a piezoelectric but I have prepared thin film PZT for this purpose using Silicon as a substrate. The electrical properties of the piezoelectric material matter a lot so PZT should be prepared as per the requirements. Piezoelectric materials have a crystalline structure which provides them the ability to transform mechanical strain into electrical charge and vice versa. By this paper I wish to emphasize on the preparation and electrical, dielectric properties of the materials suitable for harnessing the electrical energy. P-E loop and effect of hysteresis on the performance of PZT has also been discussed. The preparation of a sound PZT is the most basic and important for piezoelectric energy harvesting. Together, all the basics of piezoelectric material properties have been combined from which an idea about it's suitability as an energy source can be drawn. It has a bright future for sure due to its ability to be integrated with nature, humans and machines.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"2014 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114684343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Simulation allows the modeling of circuit operation and is an invaluable analysis process. Simulating a circuit's behavior before actually building it can greatly improve design efficiency by making faulty designs known as such, and providing insight into the behavior of electronics circuit designs. In particular, for integrated circuits, the tooling (photomasks) is expensive, breadboards are impractical, and probing the behavior of internal signals is extremely difficult. We have propose an approach in which any hardware electronic circuits like Rectifiers, Amplifiers, Signal conditionars, Filters, etc can be mathematically modelled and simulated using DSP processor which will generate the desired output plots of various signals obtained from the modelled circuits This paper proposes an real time circuit simulation for Single Stage CE amplifier using DSP processor C6000 series TMS320C6713 DSK.","PeriodicalId":384966,"journal":{"name":"International Conference for Convergence for Technology-2014","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120848475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
