A 3D ESPRIT-like shift-invariance technique is used to separate and estimate the 2D DOAs and time-delays in the 3D JADE-ESPRIT algorithm. The basic idea of the MTST-MUSIC method is to group and isolate the signal of each incoming ray using the space-time characteristics of the multiray wireless channel. Simulation results demonstrate that the MTST-MUSIC algorithm outperforms the 3D JADE-ESPRIT algorithm in performance.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"38 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123209748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An efficient two-step algorithm is proposed based on the redundancy introduced by the cyclic prefix (CP). The first step separates the signals corresponding to each user using the property of circular convolution. The second step individually estimates the timing offset for each user relying on the special structure of the correlation of the separated signals. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the existing CP-based algorithms in multi-path channels and is robust to the range of the timing offsets and carrier frequency offset (CFO).","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126312843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Self resonance is principally determined by lead and package inductance which can be modeled by a lumped equivalent inductor external to the capacitor. Inside the capacitor, the distributed resistance and capacitance represented by the metallization and the capacitance across the dielectric, correspond to an R-C transmission line with low pass characteristics. In this paper, distributed equivalent circuit modeling using numerical methods is used to derive empirical equations fitting the observed theoretical bode plots of equivalent capacitor parameters. The characterization of equivalent series and parallel components provides useful modeling tools for capacitor design and for predicting the effects of partial edge disconnection from the schooping due to corrosion or excessive current.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"361 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115922154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From experimental results, a slot antenna with a side of regular rhombus of 15 mm has the operating bandwidth of about 60% that is larger than that (34%) of a side of 30 mm. To evaluate the overall performance of an LNA, figure of merit (FoM) is adopted. Figure of merit includes power gain, noise figure, power dissipation and the operation frequency. Each performance factor of FoM is analytically expressed in device parameters. We show that FoM is maximized by optimizing the transistor size and bias condition. Effect of the external capacitance between the gate and the source of the input transistor for power-constrained design is explained and its influence on FoM is also discussed.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130252680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It takes eventually aiming at user satisfactory personalized service in anytime and anywhere. Being more available in personalization, user is looking forward to consuming segments of program in his preference as well as entire program. In this paper, we propose a new broadcasting system to generate and provide segments-based personalized broadcasting service to user terminals. Selecting and filtering suitable segments in broadcasting programs are presented with the schema of TV-Anytime Forum(TVAF) metadata. The proposed system shows a scheme with which program segments are reorganized into personalized program, i.e., virtual program. To verify the usefulness of the proposed system, we demonstrated the virtual program, which was made with user preferred segments, on a test-bed which consists of service provider, user terminal and mobile terminal1.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133095347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
