Many species of microbes/fungi have the ability to fix nitrogen, but very few are able to excrete nitrogen in the form of ammonia so that their contribution in providing nitrogen for plants is also still low. This study aims to determine the characteristics and type of nitrogen fixing fungi in fruit and vegetable waste compost. The method used in this research was descriptive method. Identification of nitrogen-fixing fungi was carried out macroscopically by looking at the color of the colonies, the shape of the colonies, and the diameter of the fungal colonies, an then identified by molecularly. There were 4 isolates of nitrogen-fixing fungi capable of forming clear zones on Jensen's media with different morphological characteristics and nitrogen-fixing abilities. The largest diameter of the clear zone was shown in isolate A3 of 3.2 cm which is the fungus Aspergillus niger strain SG1.","PeriodicalId":384527,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science, Technology & Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129786357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of turmeric leaves by residents is only a cooking ingredient not used in large quantities. Even most of these turmeric leaves are considered waste and have minimal utilization. Turmeric leaf methanol extract can be used to lower blood glucose. Turmeric leaf extract has the potential as a valuable food source of its antioxidant components, such as total phenolic compounds and flavonoids which increase radical scavenging activity. In particular, the water extract of turmeric leaves contains high total phenolic compounds (2.741 ± 0.099 mg GAE/g) and flavonoids (4.776 ± 0.010 mg QCE/g). Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder associated with several chronic complications, such as nephropathy, neuropathy, retinopathy and cardiomyopathy. Part of the turmeric plant leaves is reported to have the ability as an antioxidant. Antioxidant compounds can control blood glucose levels and prevent diabetes complications. This study was conducted to test the ability of turmeric leaf ethanol extract (EEDK) to reduce blood glucose levels in diabetic rats induced by nicotinamide and streptozotocin and to perform phytochemical screening to determine the compounds contained in turmeric leaves so that it becomes an alternative as a diabetes treatment and can prevent damage. or diabetic complications. The results showed that turmeric leaves contained secondary metabolites, namely flavonoids, glycosides, tannins, and triterpenoids/steroids, but there were no alkaloids or saponins. The characterization results show that the sample meets the requirements. Turmeric leaf ethanol extract doses of 400 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, and 100 mg/kg could reduce the Blood Glucose Level of NA and STZ-induced rats from the fourth day of treatment.","PeriodicalId":384527,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science, Technology & Management","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127758945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As with diabetes, some reputable traditional herbal medicines contain antidiabetic properties. Natural antidiabetic drugs derived from compounds isolated from plants can be used as an alternative to traditional medicine for diabetes because they have potential side effects. Diabetes can be treated alternatively by using various substances, especially those containing polyphenols, such as flavonoids. Sapodilla kecik (Manilkara kauki (L.) Dubard) from the Sapotaceae family is a type of plant used in traditional medicine; leaves, roots and bark can be used to treat diarrhoea in children, seeds can be used as a febrifuge, anthelmintic, and as an antileprotic. Secondary metabolites in sapodilla kecik leaves are flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, triterpenoids and glycosides. This research was carried out by characterizing and screening phytochemicals to determine the content of compounds in Sapodilla kecik (Manilkara kauki (L.) Dubard) and carrying out antidiabetic tests on streptozotocin-nicotinamide-induced diabetic rats. The results showed that sapodilla kecik leaves fulfilled the simplicia characterization requirements. Sapodilla leaves contain secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, glycosides, saponins and steroids. The ethanol extract of sapodilla kecik leaves at a dose of 500 mg/Kg BW starting from the 4th day of treatment, a dose of 250 mg/Kg BW starting on the 8th day of treatment, and a dose of 125 mg/Kg BW starting on the 12th day was able to reduce the KGD of induced diabetic rats with nicotinamide and streptozotocin.","PeriodicalId":384527,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science, Technology & Management","volume":"174 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122925998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We analyze the processes that affect the internationalization of SMEs. Additionally, highlighting the limitations of the literature, especially in terms of theoretical fragmentation; existing theories are deployed and illustrated but are rarely extended in a way that significantly informs subsequent work. With this, we highlight the need for a more rigorous and empirically informed exploration of contextual effects that considers the consequences of development in global economic ecosystems. From the results of a review of several literatures, it shows that there is an internationalization theory that tries to analyze, process, and produce results. The main purpose of this article is to emphasise the importance of Indonesia's marine economic potential as a maritime country in achieving Indonesia's prosperity and glory as a maritime country. Fisheries, marine tourism, marine transportation, offshore energy and mineral resources, marine industry, marine buildings, and marine services are all goals for the marine economic spectrum. This marine resource's potential economic value is estimated to be at least $8.22 trillion per year. This article was written using qualitative and descriptive literature studies. A literature review was used as the research method to analyse the journal. Reviewing related libraries is what a literature review entails. (Review of related literature/review of literature) The findings indicate that the Indonesian government already has a policy in place for Indonesia's marine strategy, which refers to Indonesia's Development Vision, which is contained in Law Number 17 of 2007 concerning the National Long-Term Development Plan 2005-2025 and Law Number 32 of 2014 concerning Marine. This policy is reflected in a number of concepts, including Blue Economy, Maritime Domain Awareness, World Maritime Axis, and Nusantara Insight. To realise Indonesia as an independent, advanced, and strong archipelagic country based on national interests, this great potential must be managed and utilised holistically, integrated thematically, and distributed spatially proportionally through an integrated development planning process supported by harmonious spatial planning and the implementation of sustainable development that can run in harmony.","PeriodicalId":384527,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science, Technology & Management","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125621013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
