White galangal rhizome contains essential oils of eugenol which have activities that inhibit the growth of Candida albicans. This study formulated the white galangal rhizome essential oil in the form of feminime hygiene to make it easier and more comfortable to use and to determine the antiseptic feminime hygiene activity of the white galangal rhizome oil of Candida albicans. The essential oil of white galangal rhizome is formulated in three variations of concentration namely 10%, 15% and 20%. Feminime hygiene of essential white galangal rhizome oil was evaluated such as organoleptic, homogeneity, specific gravity, foam power test, viscosity, pH and stability. Antiseptic activity testing was tested with SDA (Sabouraud Dextrose Agar) media and using agar diffusion method. The results of the feminime hygiene evaluation formulated showed results similar to the results of comparative evaluations (BN). The parameters of antiseptic activity are indicated by the formation of inhibitory zone diameters where F0 (negative control), F1 (10%), F2 (15%), and F3 (20%) respectively have an average diameter value of 11 mm, 14.65 mm 17.58 mm and 25.41 mm. The classification category of the response to microbial growth according to CLSI, F0 and F1 includes the weak group, the F2 is the moderate group and the F3 is the strong group. Based on the results of one-way ANOVA statistical analysis there were significant differences in liquid soap preparations F0, F1, F2 with F3 at (P <0.05). This study aims to make cream formulas from Dayak onion ethanol extract and evaluate the physical quality characteristics of cream. The cream formulation from dayak onion extract was made with extract concentration of 100 mg/ml with stearic acid and triethanolamine as emulgator. Stearic acid and triethanolamine concentrations used were FI (6%: 2%), FII (12%: 3%), FIII ( 18%: 3%). The creams were evaluated for its physical quality characteristics, namely organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, dispersion, cream type and viscosity. From the evaluation of physical quality characteristics, it can be concluded that Formula III is the best formula that meets good cream quality requirements. The Dayak onion ethanol extract cream is an O/W type cream resulting in semi-solid, brown, organoleptic and dayak onion odor. In the homogeneity test there is no clumping on the cream preparation so that the preparation is homogeneous. The pH value is 6, so the cream is safe for the face. The spreadability of FIII is 7.52 cm, meets the requirements. Gaertn) has been shown to boost innate immunity in the body (non-specific immunomodulatory activity). This study aims to determine the immunomodulatory activity of the specific response of the ethyl acetate fraction of Som Java leaves (Talinum paniculatum (Jacq.) Gaertn). Test specific immune response by using delayed type hypersensitivity test and total antibody titers test. Analysis of data obtained using SPSS version 16.0. Delayed type hypersensitivity test results showed that the ethyl acetate fraction Som Java leaves 50, 100 and 150 mg/kgbw proven to increase cellular immune response and activities comparable to the positive control. Total antibody titer test results showed that the fraction of ethyl acetate Som Java leaves three doses shown to increase the value of primary and secondary antibody titers. Based on the test results specific response can be concluded that the ethyl acetate fraction Som Java leaves have specific immunomodulatory activity.Keywords: Talinum paniculatum (Jacq.) EEPP can be formulated in the form of creams and lotions to facilitate use on the skin. This study aims to evaluate the physical chemistry characteristics of EEPP creams and lotions. Creams and lotions were made in 3 formulas based on variations in FI extract concentrations (15.0%), FII (17.5%), FIII (20.0%), base controls and positive controls (preparations on the market). The cream obtained was evaluated for physical chemical characteristics including organoleptic, homogeneity, adhesion and dispersion, viscosity, pH and SPF values which were analyzed descriptively. cream with varying concentrations of green, the distinctive smell of pineapple, homogeneous and in accordance with the pH of the skin. Increasing the concentration of EEPP in the preparation has an effect on increasing viscosity, adhesion but decreasing the dispersion. Whereas the lotion shows greenish color, aromatic odor and semisolid texture and is easily applied. And cytotoxic test against shrimp larvae Artemia salina Leach by BSLT method. Phytochemical tests showed that the extract be expected contained the terpenoid, alkaloid, phenolic, secondary metabolite compounds. The results of qualitative analysis with positive TLC contains phenolics. The result of identification with Spectrophotometer UV-visfor determination of α max from berenuk seeds extract consisted of 3 peaks with α max 326 nm, 258 nm, 222 nm be expected terpenoid compound, alkaloid, and phenolic. The results of toxicity test using shrimp larvae (Artemia salina leach) were divided into 4 groups: 1 control group and 3 groups of concentration series. The concentration of test solution used was 1,000, 100 and 10 μg / ml. The shrimp larvae mortality was observed after 24 hours of treatment. Based on the analysis with probit method, LC50 value of seed extract berenuk to shrimp larvae Artemia salina Leach is equal to 82,30 μg/ml. To facilitate the use of betel seed extract as an antibacterial, it was formulated into an edible film with a concentration of 2.5%, 3% and 3.5%. Making edible films using solvent casting method and testing antibacterial activity using blood agar diffusion method. The edible film of areca nut extract made an evaluation included organoleptic, thickness, brittleness, water content, pH, and swelling test. The evaluation results of betel nut edible fim extract showed almost the same characteristics as the edible fim that had been circulating in the market which was used as a comparison. The presence of antibacterial activity from edible pinang seed extract is marked by the formation of clear zones. Parijoto has flavonoid content. This study aimed to determine the effect of ethanolic extract of parijoto (Medinilla speciosa Blume) fruit in blood glucose level and the sexual function in alloxan-induced diabetic male rats. The design of the study was post test only control group design, 25 male wistar rats aged 2 months with BB 100-200 gram divided into 5 groups. Group 1 (normal control), group 2 (negative control) induced alloxan 100mg / kgBB, groups 3, 4, and 5 were alloxan induced and administered EEBP at doses of 100 mg / kgBW, 250 mg / kgBW, and 500 mg / kgBW. Alloxan-induced rats were left for 4 weeks to achieve chronic DM. Data analysis of blood glucose level and spermatozoa quality using one way anova followed by LSD post hoc. While aphrodisiac of introducing and climbing using one way anova continued by LSD and coitus using kruskal wallis. The results showed that there were significant differences between negative control with normal group, III, IV, and V. The effect of ethanolic extract of parijoto fruit on blood glucose level and sexual function in alloxan-induced diabetic male rats showed no difference between treatment group of 100 mg / kgBW with negative group, and there were significant differences between treatment group of 250 mg / kgBW and 500 mg / kgBW with negative group. Merr) is known to have several benefits including treating cancer, hypertension, lowering cholesterol. This study aims to determine the non-specific parameters of ethanol extract from Dayak onion bulbs which include drying shrinkage parameters, moisture content, ash content, acid insoluble ash content. Extraction was carried out percolation with 96% ethanol and yielded a yield of 12.44%. Dayak onion tuber extract was thick with a distinctive smell of onion and reddish brown color. The contents of the active compounds include flavonoids, saponins, tannins, alkaloids and quinones. The stages done in this research are extraction, identification, and macronutrient analysis of glucomannan of the porang tuber. Prior to extraction, the oxalic acid was removed from porang tuber using mixture of 2% lime juice and 5% lime, then the glucomannans was extracted using ultrasonic method. The glucomannan then was identified using Fourier transform infra red spectrometer (FTIR) instrument and macronutrient analyzer such as Soxhlet method for fats and fibers, Kjedahl method for protein, and Antrone method for carbohydrates. The results of identification using FTIR showed the presence of β-pyranose at wave numbers of 900-810 cm -1 . The carbonyl on on acetyl group was found at 1726 cm-1 . The area between 870-800 cm-1 showed the β-glycosidic and β-manosidic compounds. The C-O ether group was shown in the area of 1260-1200 cm -1 , while for C-O alcohol was shown in the area of 1050 cm-1 showed the C-O bond in alcohol. At 2925 cm-1 it showed C-H, while at 3000-3700 cm-1 O-H group. Breadfruit leaf extract is practical and effective formulated in ointment preparations. The base combination of PEG 400 and PEG 4000 decreases the melting point of PEG 4000, so that it is compatible and can increase the penetration of drugs in the skin. The objective of this study to determine the breadfruit leaf extract ointment with a combination of PEG 400 and PEG 4000 bases as well as antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Breadfruit leaf extract (BLE) was obtained by maceration with 70% ethanol. Salve preparations were made into III formulas with variations in base concentrations of PEG 400 and PEG 4000, namely (F1) 75%: 25%, (F2) 50%: 50%, (F3) 25%: 75%, using the fusion method. Antibacterial activity test used agar well diffusion method. Kruskal Wallis test and Mann Whitney test used for analyzed data from antibacterial activity test. The ointment of Breadfruit leaves extract showed the color of brown ointment, semi-solid form, distinctive aroma of breadfruit leave. All of three ointment formulas have antibacterial activity indicated by the formation of inhibitory zones around the well. All of three ointment formulas have significant differences which means the combination of PEG 400 and PEG 4000 can affect antibacterial activity of BLE ointment. The higher of the concentration PEG 4000 compared PEG 400 caused inhibiton zone become smaller that means the potency of antibacterial decreased.
