One of these buildings in Surakarta which still exists to date is the Great Mosque of Surakarta. The Great Mosque of Surakarta had long been established as one of Surakarta’s historical buildings because the city was one of centers of government in Java at the times of Mataram Islamic Kingdom. This study aims at exploring the aesthetics of beauty of the Great Mosque of Surakarta so that it has a tourist appeal. This study used the qualitative research with multidisciplinary approach, combining historical research with field research (ex post facto). The result shows that the Great Mosque is rich of philosophical values contained in its architectural arts. Positive messages and images intrinsically shown in the Great Mosque are then put together in a form of aesthetics produced through time-lapse technique in a promotional video. This research has an implication that a positive image exists in the preservation of culturally-significant building resulting from the production of the branding video of the Great Mosque of Surakarta.","PeriodicalId":383553,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st Seminar and Workshop on Research Design, for Education, Social Science, Arts, and Humanities, SEWORD FRESSH 2019, April 27 2019, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124721639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dates (Phoenix dactylifera Linn) contain almost complete nutrients, fiber and rich in antioxidants, which can control blood glucose levels. This study aimed to determine the effect of dates on blood glucose levels. This was the experimental study with Randomized Control Trial Pretest and Posttest. There were 36 outpatients of type-2 DM, divided into two groups, control and treatment. 50 grams of Lulu dates were given to the treatment group a day, while the control group were not. In 14 days, all groups were continued to consume oral anti-diabetic drugs. Daily intake data were obtained from 24-hr recall questionnaires, nutritional status data obtained from anthropometric measurements while data of DM from blood glucose levels. Data analysis using the Paired t-test. Results showed that the difference in the decrease of blood glucose levels, in control group (8.67 mg/dl, p-value=0.067) were lower than the treatment group (22.94 mg/dl, p-value=0.04). There were no significant decrease of blood glucose levels between control and treatment groups (p-value=0.223). In this study, consumption of dates has no significant effect on blood glucose levels, but further study are needed to know how dates can improve blood glucose levels.","PeriodicalId":383553,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st Seminar and Workshop on Research Design, for Education, Social Science, Arts, and Humanities, SEWORD FRESSH 2019, April 27 2019, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia","volume":"145 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124707518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study to identify the type of semantic structure as a representation of addition and subtraction using Indonesian and to find out student perceptions of semantic structures that are difficult to understand. The document analyzed is a collection of word problem that made by teachers. The participants were primary school students and teachers for level five in Central of Java that majority of students use Javanese as the first language. The findings are as follows. First, based on semantic structure in word problem, the addition can be classified into merging, unification, change, and comparison. The subtraction of semantic structure can be classified into displacement, separation, change, and comparison. In multioperations, there are many types which are a combination of that eight types, such as merging-displacement, merging-separation, and unification-separationchange. Second, such semantic structures are difficult to understand, especially the phrase \"more than\" to represent subtraction and “fewer than\" to represent the addition.","PeriodicalId":383553,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st Seminar and Workshop on Research Design, for Education, Social Science, Arts, and Humanities, SEWORD FRESSH 2019, April 27 2019, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128929370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research seeks to analyze the translation equivalence at speech event level of friends’ quarrel by looking at its constructing elements, namely its genre; speech acts used within friends’ quarrel speech events. The data were collected purposively and analyzed using document analysis and focused group discussion. The findings conclude that there are four types of speech acts found in friends’ quarrel with the following comparison between source language and target language: expressive (33:30), assertive (21:21), directive (15:14), and commisive (3:1). The domination of expressive speech act emphasizes the emotional characteristic of quarrel, and the least occurence of commissive speech act show that a quarrel may or may not have closure depending on the willingness of one party to admit mistake or to commit to do better. The genre, in terms of speech acts used, was maintained in the target language subtitle, but there were some speech acts ommited in the target language subtitle, thus affecting the genre in term of speech acts occuring frequency.","PeriodicalId":383553,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st Seminar and Workshop on Research Design, for Education, Social Science, Arts, and Humanities, SEWORD FRESSH 2019, April 27 2019, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133163790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
