It is also a fast and reliable method for finding the location of an object. This method is based on far field operator which relates the far field radiation to its associated line source in the object. There has been an extensive research on different aspects of the method. But from the experimental point of view there has been little research especially on the effect of polarization on the imaging quality of the method. In this paper, we study the effect of polarization on the quality of shape reconstruction in two dimensional targets. Examples comparing two different types of polarizations Transverse Electric (TE) and Transverse Magnetic (TM) on reconstruction quality of penetrable and non-penetrable objects is provided.","PeriodicalId":383315,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"4 11","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131437062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the first stage of decoding, we offer a new decoding algorithm called Improved Variable Multi Weighted Bit-Flipping (IVMWBF) algorithm. Since the IVMWBF algorithm is based on the idea of flipping variable multi bits in each iteration, both improvement in performance and reduction in iteration number and computational complexity are observed in this algorithm. The proposed hybrid algorithm which is a combination of the IVMWBF and BP algorithms, while having a performance exactly similar to that of the BP algorithm, has less complexity compared to that algorithm.","PeriodicalId":383315,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132931472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a method is proposed that reduces the interference between femtocells. This method is implemented by the femtocells in a self organizing manner and increases frequency reuse factor. Thus, the network throughput will increase and the fairness between femtocells remains reasonable we also propose a mechanism that can be applied increase the frequency resources assigned to each femtocell. These new frequencies can be used when femtocells require more frequency resources to carry higher traffic loads. Results of simulations show the improvement of the first method compared to the previous methods. It is also demonstrated that by applying the second mechanism in a high-load condition of the network, a considerable improvement is observed in its throughput. (Between 20-120% improvements).","PeriodicalId":383315,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134112376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although it has good performance compared to other descriptors in the area, if the size and number of images increase, the dimension of the descriptor vectors would become extremely large and therefore makes the training process computationally complex. To overcome this, in this paper a human detection method based on bag-of-features model is represented. Visual words are patches of pictures described with HoG and then clustered using K-means algorithm. To highlight the most important visual words, a weighting method could be applied to the descriptor vectors. Here we used Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (Tf_Idf) which has been used in document classification. In the proposed approach, Support Vector Machine (SVM) is used as the binary classifier. We applied our proposed method to the MIT and INRIA datasets and compared the performance of our algorithm with a similar method in the literature. The results of our experiments show that our method performs at least as well as other available methods.","PeriodicalId":383315,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114517557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the proposed methods, mobile agents (MAs) play an important and fundamental role in information fusion. A mobile agent travels among the sensors and collects the necessary information. The collected information is carried to a fusion centre in which the optimal state estimates are computed. Finally, the proposed methods are applied on a radar tracking system with five sensors arranged in two rings with some faulty sensors. Reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED) was used for in-situ monitoring of crystalline quality during growth. Quality and surface morphology of the grown layers was assessed by x-ray diffractometry (XRD), field emmission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Homoepitaxial InSb layers were grown on (111)A and (111)B InSb subtrates and photodiodes were fabricated by growing thin p-AlxIn1-xSb barriers between n-InSb and p-InSb layers. Heteroepitaxial InSb layers were grown on semi-insulating (001) GaAs substrates without using any buffer layer. This buffer-free growth procedure speeds up the production process and eliminates the unwanted impurities at the expense of slight degradation of crystalline quality.","PeriodicalId":383315,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116275559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
