Ardebilipoor","doi":"10.1109/CANET.2006.279251","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CANET.2006.279251","url":null,"abstract":"In this paper we propose a ray-tracing method for modeling the correlation of the received signals by two or more antennas operating in a multipath environment. Assuming that the maximum excess delay in the channel is known, we create an elliptical region surrounding both the transmitter and receiver antennas. A number of scatterers are randomly distributed in this region. They scatter the incoming waves spherically. Considering a Rayleigh amplitude and uniform phase for the waves scattered by each scatterer and computing their superposition in each receive antenna, we have determined the amplitude and phase of the received signals and used this signals to obtain joint pdf (probability distribution function) of the received signals. This model has the advantage of being applicable for any configuration of antennas. To determine system performance, several parameters must be considered, fiber length between EDFAs, fiber loss per km, and the number of in-line EDFAs over the span. As the signal travels over a long distance, the energy of the pulse will decrease with distance. This energy loss is caused by nonlinear effects introduced by the fiber. In this paper we examine one of these applications from the perspective of its potential users. During a two week field trial a group of 24 high school students were able to use the ad hoc screen sharing application based on Wireless Grids technology. Results show that although students express a general belief in new technologies, they are also reluctant to use it when it comes to their personal situation. Based on the pervasive RFID tags, architecture of SOA-oriented RFID network is presented, We point out its potential application area such as in airport. Moreover, the design concepts, detail illustration of the components especially the location tracking Web service (LTWS) in the proposed framework are described and advantages of the whole framework are summarized.
