The clinical manifestations of precocious puberty are generally diverse and based on etiology are classified into central precocious puberty (GnRH dependent) and peripheral precocious puberty (GnRH independent). The main concern with precocious puberty is that precocious puberty can be a clinical symptom of an underlying serious disease such as a brain tumor, adrenal or gonadal tumor and others. Early identification of etiology plays an important role in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of this disease. This literature review aims to determine the etiology and current management of precocious puberty. This literature review uses the keywords \"Precocious Puberty AND etiology AND treatment\" through the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and Google Scholar databases. This article uses 11 articles that were used as references in its preparation. In conclusion, it is necessary to know the etiology of precocious puberty using imaging examinations for optimal management and excluding malignant abnormalities. The current treatment for central precocious puberty is GnRH agonists (gold-standard) and surgery in cases of intracranial lesions and peripheral precocious puberty using a combination of androgen antagonists (spironolactone) and aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole, testolactone) and surgery is indicated for gonadal and adrenal tumors. The role of parents is very important in early detection of precocious puberty, because the earlier the therapy, the better the prognosis.","PeriodicalId":382423,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Tropis","volume":"27 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139268222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nowadays public interest in functional food is increasing, so functional rice production needs to be increased. Therefore, this research was conducted with the hope of obtaining information on superior agronomic characters to increase the yield power of functional rice strains. The method used was experimental using a randomized group design (RAK). Data analysis consists of Analysis of Variance, genetic diversity coefficient, phenotype diversity coefficient, genotype correlation, phenotype correlation, and heritability in a broad sense. The results showed that the heritability value of high area meaning is found in the character of flowering, harvest age, plant height, panicle length of the amount of grain contained, and the amount of empty grain. The high value of the KKG and KKF is indicated by the character of the number of non-productive saplings, while the lowest value is indicated by the character of the age of harvest. All quantitative characters observed showed positive genotypic correlation results to grain weight per clump. While in phenotypic correlation only the character of plant height, panicle length, the amount of grain containing, the amount of hollow grain and the weight of 100 grains are positive. Based on the analysis that has been carried out the character of plant height, panicle length, the amount of grain containing the amount of hollow grain and the weight of 100 grains need to be taken into account as selection criteria to obtain high-yielding functional rice.","PeriodicalId":382423,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Tropis","volume":"68 1-3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139266856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An intensive and controlled cage system can be found in the closed house cage system. Based on the research, the average weight of harvested chickens is not uneven, possibly unequal distribution of fresh air entering through the inlet. This research aims to determine the effect of maintenance distance from the cooling pad on the average body weight growth of broiler chickens kept in closed house cages with a size of 98 X 14 m. as many as 16,000 broiler chickens of the CP 207 strain are randomly allocated into 4 groups or flocks. The distance of flocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 from the cooling pad is 0 -24.5, 24.6 - 49.5 and 49.6 - 73.5, and 73.6 - 98m respectively. The results showed a marked difference (P<0.05) in final body weight. The highest body weight was obtained at the closest distance to the cooling pad and the lowest weight was obtained in the chicken that was in the flock farthest from the cooolig pad. It was concluded that the chicken's body weight is lower the farther the flock is from the cooling pad.","PeriodicalId":382423,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Tropis","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139269352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of amylase enzymes is urgently needed in various industrial fields, therefore the search for sources of amylase enzyme producers continues to be carried out for sources of amylase enzyme producers. Each industrial field has specific requirements for amylase enzymes. This study aims to isolate bacteria capable of producing amylase enzyme and to determine the amylase activity of bacteria isolated from cassava (Manihot utilissima) when incubated at different temperatures (room temperature and 30℃) and pH levels (7, 8, 9, and 10). The research involved bacterial isolation, testing the amylase activity of the isolated amylolytic bacteria at varying pH and temperatures, and characterizing the amylolytic bacteria. The amylolytic bacterial activity was qualitatively measured based on the clear zone's area formed around the colony. From this study 5 isolates showing amylolytic activity were obtained. The amylolytic activity index varied among the isolates, ranging from 0.12 to 0.59. The highest amylolytic activity index (0.59) was performed by S4 isolate on pH 10 medium incubated at 30℃. Microscopic and gram staining analysis suggest that two isolates were gram-negative coccus bacteria and three of them were gram-positive coccobaccilus bacteria.","PeriodicalId":382423,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Tropis","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115902102","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
