Topology of this SPMPM is introduced, and as the mover can move freely on the stator, the planar motor is suitable for long-stroke applications in the lithography. Flux density, electromagnetic thrust and back-EMF of the SPMPM are obtained analytically and compared with the finite element simulation results. A prototype is manufactured and tested successfully. Though several MTJ-based logic structures have been proposed and demonstrated, these designs necessitate the inclusion of other electronic components to read the spintronic data as an electronic signal. Additionally, different levels of operations are required to achieve the desired logical function. In this work, we present a novel scheme for logic operation that is able to perform logical operations in two steps and requires no intermediate circuitry to sense the spintronic data. As a result the radial carrying capacity is proportional to the axial carrying capacity. But in most conditions, the axial and radial carrying capacity is required to be independent with each other. The carrying capacity in one of radial or axial direction will be larger than the required carrying capacity, which will lead to larger volume, heavier weight and higher power loss. In this paper, the three-pole radial-axial HMB is designed based on different bias and saturation flux density in radial and axial air gaps. In particular, permanent magnet machines are gaining more traction due to their outstanding efficiency, high power density, small size, low weight, simple mechanical construction, easy maintenance and good reliability. The higher the motor speed, the smaller the electric machine volume for the same power output. However, the heat or loss density of the machine is proportional to its power density, and the structure design aiming to better the loss distributing becomes a practical challenge for high speed machines. To ensure that the magnets or rotor bars can be retained safely, often a metal is designed on rotor outer surface, and large eddy loss would be generated while machine operating with a very high frequency electromagnetic field. In this case, scholars make efforts to minimize eddy current losses whilst providing mechanical integrity, which may benefit both the machine efficiency and thermal management. In this paper, a 3kW, 80k rpm high speed permanent magnetic generator is investigated, and its stator tooth top shape is optimized to reduce eddy losses in the rotor sleeve. PCFM is introduced to reduce low frequency CM conducted EMI of PMSM drive system. Simulations and experimental results verify that sinusoidal and sawtooth PCFM can reduce CM conducted EMI of PMSM drive system effectively. Furthermore, sawtooth PCFM is more effective than sinusoidal PCFM in suppressing CM conducted EMI of PMSM drive system. It is shown that introduction of excitation winding has a significant effect on armature reaction of the HESM. Inductance feature is determined by the saturation of both axial and radial flux path which vary with field current and armature current. The coarse-grained molecular level description is used based on the force field estimation from the atomistic level model. The dynamic responses are determined by calculating the self-diffusion coefficient. In despite of the different PMs location, the three kinds of stator PM motors share several features in the structure, such as both of the PMs and armature windings are housed in the stator, the rotor is designed to be a simple iron core with salient teeth and the concentrated non-overlapping armature windings are usually adopted.
