However, the KBPP coverage figures in Indonesia are still not satisfactory. Based on data from the 2019 Indonesia Health Profile, the coverage of KBPP in Indonesia has only reached 35.1%, while the coverage of using KBPP in West Sulawesi Province only reached 20%. The decision to use postpartum family planning for postpartum mothers is influenced by several factors, including the characteristics of the mother (education level, economic status, distance from home to health facilities) and husband's support. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between mother's characteristics and husband's support for the use of postpartum family planning in Mamuju Regency. The method used is a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample used was 400 postpartum mothers in Mamuju Regency. The dependent variable is the use of KBPP and the independent variable is the characteristics of the mother and husband's support. The type of data analysis used was the contingency coefficient C test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between economic level, distance from home to health facilities and husband's support for the decision to use postpartum family planning (p <0.05). This condition indicates the desire of couples of childbearing age for a type of contraceptive that is not available so that they make the decision not to use a contraceptive method or device. The percentage of unmet need in Mamuju Regency based on 2021 is 23.65%, still far from the provincial target of 17.87%, and the national target of 8.30%. The purpose of this study was to explore information on the causes of the high number of unmet need for family planning in Mamuju District from the perspective of service provider organizational barriers (supply side). This research method used qualitative methods with a case study approach. Informants in this study were women with unmet need, husbands, Head of Family Planning, Head of Subdivision Planning Program, midwives, field staffs and cadres in the Mamuju District and Simboro and Islands Districts. The total number of informants was 31 people. Data collection techniques were interviews, focus group discussions (FGD) and document studies. Data analysis using thematic analysis. The results showed that the quality of human resources, limited financing, accessibility of health facilities that were difficult to reach, not yet optimal support across sectors, and inaccurate measurements of unmet need in the field, became obstacles for service providers in reducing unmet need. Unmet need for family planning is multidimensional because it is influenced by various factors, therefore it requires a strong commitment from all parties and synergy between related sectors in optimizing the implementation of family planning programs.","PeriodicalId":378605,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Kesehatan Manarang","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132202897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Micronutrient deficiencies in pregnant women must be specifically prevented. A healthy and nutritionally balanced diet is essential for maternal and fetal health. The review study aimed to identify the role of micronutrients (Fe, Zn, Iodine, Vitamin A, and Folate) during pregnancy. The literature review used a scoping review technique referring to the Arksey and O'Malley framework. The literature review (2012-2022) used the online databases PubMed, Science Direct, Willey Online Library, ProQuest, and Springer. The search used Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), including the variables \"role of nutrients,\" \"pregnant women,\" \"micronutrients (Fe, Zn, Iodine, Vitamin A, Folate),\" and \"during pregnancy.\" The selection of articles using the PRISMA Flowchart starts with identification, screening, eligibility, and selected articles. Results, this literature study has found 18 articles that are feasible and meet the criteria. This study identified that women preparing for pregnancy and pregnant women must pay attention to nutrient intake at conception, nutritional status in trimesters I to III, and the role and intake of micronutrients during pregnancy both for maternal health and optimal health fetal growth. Obtaining adequate and balanced micronutrient intake is very important to maintain the health of pregnant women and fetuses during pregnancy. In conclusion, the role of micronutrients is significant for pregnant women and fetuses. One of the most important for pregnant women and fetuses is vitamin B9), which helps form red blood cells, maintain a healthy nervous system, and help in iron metabolism. Folic acid also helps in fetal growth and development, and iron helps produce red blood cells and maintains adequate oxygen levels in the body.","PeriodicalId":378605,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Kesehatan Manarang","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125352538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
