We designed the storage method of picture books and teaching aids into backpacks, which were convenient for caregivers or children to carry by using self-made picture books as the primary medium. The appearance was designed with the supporting role of the pink elephant in the picture book. In addition to the cute and eye-catching appearance, it allowed children to integrate into the situation. Gender equality-related issues were mentioned many times in picture books, including the three categories of \"clothing\", \"color\", and \"occupation\" which often appear as stereotypes from the starting point. Rich and easy-to-understand plots were designed to enhance the fun of teaching aided by playing with operating help, so the gender equality problems were naturally integrated into the activities. The teaching aid was filed for a patent for invention and design. After completing the work, a questionnaire with reliability and validity was compiled for 34 subjects, and the result was conducted for a dependent-samples t-test. It was found that combining self-made gender equality picture books and teaching aids enhanced children's learning interest more than traditional gender equality teaching aids. Children's awareness of gender equality was raised to have them learn the concept of gender equality in their careers.","PeriodicalId":377167,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences and Artistic Innovations","volume":"147 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133647541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, the domestic universities and institutes have been focusing on international student enrollment policy to settle the issue of not achieving the target enrollment for new students. Thus, the internationalization of higher education encounters a challenge to identify whether the Taiwan universities and institutes can enroll international students by using various ways and provide the international students, who are interested in enrollment in Taiwan universities, with the comprehensive concept and understanding of Taiwan education system and the educational attributes. The internationalization of higher education in Taiwan has been expanding year by year, and the number of international students in Taiwan has reached 127 000, of which 1600 were Mongolian students as of 2018. In connection with the continuous increase in the number of international students, the researches on international students have also become significant. However, the research on Mongolian students studying in Taiwan is relatively few. We have studied the factors, which influence Mongolian students’ choice in studying in Taiwan, besides studying how they adjust to their new life when they first study abroad. In our research, we have used the qualitative research method as the main research method and the methods like a case study and focus group interview in a detailed manner. We have chosen 24 samples from the Mongolian students, who were attending undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs in Taiwan in 2019. We carried out the research in the scope of the below-mentioned four objectives: to identify the factors that influenced Mongolian students to choose Taiwan; to identify which channels and possibilities they have used in their enrollment in Taiwan universities; to learn how Mongolian students adapt to their new lives in Taiwan; to suggest substantial recommendations for universities and educational institutes that are interested in enrolling students from Mongolia as international students.","PeriodicalId":377167,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences and Artistic Innovations","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125063501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, in this study, by analyzing the educational situation after the COVID-19 crisis, five major categories were defined: “Educational Goals”, “Curriculum”, “Teachers’ Competencies”, “School Education System”, and “Education System for Pre-service Teachers”. A total of 465 people participated in the survey from 16 cities and provinces in the Republic of Korea from February to May 2021 and responded to 16 questions according to the topic and using the online survey tool. As a result of the survey, Korean teachers responded that \"adaptation to new technology\" and \"pursuit of social values\" need to be emphasized as educational goals after COVID-19, and \"individualized distance education\" and \"project-based learning\" need to be actively applied in curriculum operation. They thought that teachers would be required to have competencies such as “technology literacy” and “creating learning affordances”. In addition, in school education, \"interdisciplinary integration\" and \"safety and health education\" must be emphasized, and the teachers answered that it is important to learn social values. In the course of training pre-service teachers, it was considered necessary to expand convergence and complex courses and to actively apply blended learning, deeper learning, and crossover learning. Based on this, the direction of future technology education can be established. For the development of technology education, it is necessary to change competencies from problem-solving to concept design, metaverse-based technology education needs to be conducted, and technology ethics need to be treated importantly.","PeriodicalId":377167,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences and Artistic Innovations","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123459354","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, house owners are generally against building preservation policies. In order to eliminate the opposition of house owners whose buildings have higher floor-area ratios and cannot make use of them for preservation, we look into the possibilities of developing the houses of different historical significance in the“perspective landscape conservation zone” for a maximal volume of each building. We aim to enable each building to make full use of its floor-area ratio and, at the same time, to maintain the streetscape. Several types of remodeling for single or semi-detached structures are recommended by taking into consideration the needs of daily life in modern times as well as the appearances of the old street. Based on the abovementioned remodeling approach, the findings of the current study are as follows: (1) it helps to keep the minimal preservation of facades and arcades, (2) it appears to maintain the maximal preservation of facades, arcades, and atrium of the first layer of compounds, (3) the depth of the building sites must not be shorter than 16.5 m to make full use of the 240% floor-area ratio, (4) 62 out of the 95 simulated cases of the study are able to make full use of the floor-area ratio, and (5) the building sites with larger depth ratios (two layers of compounds with an atrium in between) are able to have physical preservation as well as the lifestyle and images of the sites. As the floor area is not used up, it is recommended to transfer the development rights to the remaining floor area or to another place for avoiding the loss of the original housing economic benefits. At last, a timely, flexible, and diverse option for volume controlling is set up so the street is preserved in time through appropriate approaches. Hopefully, the partial preservation and remodeling approach allows the preservation of the historical environment in practice without sacrificing the floor areas that the house owners would like to preserve in general.","PeriodicalId":377167,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences and Artistic Innovations","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132843507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We focus on the construction process of transformation from an expropriating residential space into rebuilding a formal public office into remodeling for a popular cultural and creative center, which has gone through for over a century. The police station has undergone a total of five architectural form changes. First, it was established under the control of colonial governance three times, but it has been empty since the colonial factors disappeared. Secondly, the new government built another police station in front of it. Subsequently, with the preservation policy of historical buildings, the colonial police station was restored and reused. Through literature inquiry and the transformation process of architectural form and the political and historical aspects of that process, it is demonstrated how the migratory police bureaucracy was established from strange management during the period of Japanese occupation (1895−1945) to a formal police mechanism. Finally, it flourished within a popular culture with new values through historic preservation and reuse policy.","PeriodicalId":377167,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences and Artistic Innovations","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124399672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Changes and evolution in the profession are not represented by the social image on the screen which strongly shows a doctor-centric clinical knowledge and responsibility. Considering the COVID-19 Pandemic brings significant media attention to medical staff, we analyze the television medical dramas before and after the Pandemic. The medical drama with the highest sharing index has been analyzed using an observational checklist, including 1) the nurse's presence and characteristics, 2) the role played within the format (main character, secondary character, and appearance) and the main character's features (when present), 3) the acting skills, 4) relationship dynamics in the work context (team and patient), 5) the impact on welfare and health and 6) the respect of the deontological aspects. The result implies that the image of nursing remains obsolete and linked to gender or subordination stereotypes. Heroes in white uniforms are presented in the news for a while, but too soon stigmatized. Therefore, it is necessary to start creating consciousness of the social image of nursing professionals to alert the media power and its related risks and, but above all, to use them as a resource of change.","PeriodicalId":377167,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences and Artistic Innovations","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128052276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study is carried out to point out measures to protect national identity and European civilization. The adopted approach is based on qualitative analysis of mass media communications (mainly Polish right-wing periodicals paying more attention to these issues) as well as related literature. For this study, we identify the determinants of Polish national identity, the related hazards, and protective measures. The importance of the Catholic Church was highlighted along with factors such as historical and literary traditions as well as chivalric code and independent ethos. The hazards are faced by entire Western Europe, in the context of the cultural war. The result shows that left-wing ideologies, popular in mass media, constitute a danger for the world of traditional, religious, and national values. Therefore, the protection of cultural heritage and identity requires the active involvement of the state and non-governmental institutions. On the other hand, threats originating from outside of the European civilization need to be considered. A lot of workshops have been held to develop the abilities of preservice and in-service teachers and to enhance the collaboration among teachers of English and other subjects. Therefore, the current study is carried out to investigate the preservice and in-service teachers’ concepts of CLIL to raise their attention on the implementation of CLIL in bilingual education. Due to the pandemic, online questionnaires and cell phone interviews were conducted for this study. There were 22 respondents to the questionnaire and five interviewees, both including preservice and in-service teachers. The analyses were performed for the teachers’ age, teaching area, subject, experiences, concepts of CLIL, willingness to apply CLIL, and their opinions.
