A Sliding Mode Controller is designed by controlling the parameters present on the load side as well as source side of the system. Three separate voltage source converters (VSC) are used. The mod1elling of the system is derived by considering a single-phase system by using state space analysis. The frequency response characteristics have been derived for the single-phase system and the stability of the system is studied. It is observed that the system has good stability margins when the SMC is applied at the source side compared to load side. Simulation results obtained in PSCAD/EMTDC v4.6 have been observed for power quality issues like voltage sags, voltage swells, voltage distortions, voltage unbalances and their concurrent occurrence. The approach of stationary reference frame was used for source side control and PQ theory is used for load side control. It is observed that the proposed controller works well in obtaining a stable and constant load voltage during these power quality issues. The difference in settling time observed is around 4 ms for the load side and source side control. The THD present in the load voltage is near about 1%. The SMC is found to be robust in obtaining a constant load voltage with low THD and an improved power factor.","PeriodicalId":37704,"journal":{"name":"Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68753030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The improvement in non-conventional energy sources and rise in the price of existing electrical energy production sources led to the advancement of hybrid renewable sources. Economic characteristics of these technologies are adequately capable to include in emerging power generation. Advances and research in solar, wind and other non-conventional energy sources are required to continue for improving their performance, creating techniques for exactly forecasting their outputs and reliably integrating with other conventional sources used for generation. Economic dispatch is being taken into consideration as the optimal output of the electricity generation facilities. These are to be met as per the load at the lowest possible cost. The problem on Economic Dispatch (ED) and different technical constraints considering power balance in the network satisfying the objective are to be formulated. This paper presents a brief review on economic dispatch of hybrid microgrids.","PeriodicalId":37704,"journal":{"name":"Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68752737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Permutation phase utilizes logistic map followed by Arnold cat map whereas in diffusion phase, Chebyshev’s map is used. Subsequently, another complex diffusion matrix is generated from the original image. This matrix is employed to enhance the diffusion effect further. Eventually, strong input image sensitivity is explored due to this diffusion. Simulation results exhibit that the recommended cipher ensures not only high key and entropy value but also less correspondence between nearby pixels along all directions. The key point of this cipher is the high Number of Pixels Change Rate (NPCR) and Unified Average Changing Intensity (UACI) values. Due to this impact, the proposed cipher produces completely random encrypted images.","PeriodicalId":37704,"journal":{"name":"Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68752768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The disturbances are generally transformed into radiated and conducted disturbances, using wired connections to spread their effects in electrical and electronic systems. In order to identify the paths of propagation and coupling of these HF currents into a complete system and propose solutions to reduce EMC interference, it is necessary and important to carry out experimental case studies on the coupling between shielded as well as unarmoured cables, in order to identify the importance of differential and common-mode currents. Measurements were made using a 4-way vector network analyser giving the results of the crosstalk between victim and culprit cables as well as for module and phase.","PeriodicalId":37704,"journal":{"name":"Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68753126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the other side, the privacy and security issues in more sensitive application domains could dramatically restrict the freedom of data movement, so it is not possible to offload all the data to the Cloud for processing. Furthermore, the manual operations related to tuning and deployment of these applications are time-consuming and require additional effort. In this paper, a model-based framework for automated, semantic-driven (re-)deployment of containerized applications is presented, leveraging the synergy of Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) and SDN, tackling the mentioned issues.","PeriodicalId":37704,"journal":{"name":"Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering","volume":"59 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68752197","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nagarajan, Julius S Fusic","doi":"10.2298/SJEE1901105N","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2298/SJEE1901105N","url":null,"abstract":"An enhanced zero-voltage transition boosting converter (EZVTBC) is introduced here which belongs to higher-order family. It exhibits lower source current and load voltage ripples and also it maintains better voltage gain with respect to traditional step-up converter. The zero-voltage transition is attained with an aid of a LCS resonant cell integrating Lr - Cr resonance tank network along with an extra switch. LCS resonant cell is the modified version of conventional ZVT switch cell and the salient feature of this cell is to eliminate peak current stress and conduction losses of main switch as this remains a predominant problem in hard-switched boost converter and it also improves efficiency. Initially, time domain expressions of EZVTBC are derived using Kirchhoff?s laws for different operational stages to predict the resonant transition phenomenon. The simulation is progressed in PSIM software in order to verify its soft-switching performance on a 12 - 24 V, 30 W converter and also dynamic performance of the converter has been studied with line and load variations. It is found that for rated load conditions, efficiency of the soft-switched converter is improved 5 to 10% approximately and resulted in 97%. Moreover the peak current stress and conduction losses were eliminated.","PeriodicalId":37704,"journal":{"name":"Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68752377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the beginning, the separate parameters that form the electric circuit from the furnace to the bushings of the electrodes are determined. The analysis of these parameters allows the selection of the optimum operational point of the furnace. Thermal and stress analysis of the transformer secondary delta closure is further performed. The procedure is given in detail with all the required equations and is illustrated on a real 110-ton furnace with a 110 MVA transformer.","PeriodicalId":37704,"journal":{"name":"Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68752691","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
