This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and length of service with the response time of nurses in handling patients in the Emergency Room of RSUD dr. Abdul Rivai. Using a correlational quantitative research type with a cross sectional design on 25 nurses with Spearman Rho test data analysis with a significance level of 0.05. Nurse at the IGD RSUD dr. Abdul Rivai Tanjung Redeb has an average workload of 23.20 (below normal), 6.92 years of service (moderate), and a response time of 212 seconds (3.53 minutes; responsive). There is a significant relationship between workload (Sig = 0, the nurse's response time is an indicator of service success with a benchmark for the speed of first aid which is the main key to quality service in the emergency service unit. Specifically, the study analysed the influence of listenership to two flagship health programmes - Medic 923 (Nigeria Info FM) and Health Matters (Treasure 97.7 FM)—on the women's level of awareness and preparation for the onset of menopause. Media Dependency, Media Literacy and Agenda setting theories formed the theoretical framework of the study. Using a survey as the research design, a sample size of 381 was chosen using cluster and purposive sampling techniques from a population of 38,675, with the questionnaire serving as the data collection instrument. The findings reveal that there is a high level of listenership to Medic 923 and Health Matters by women of perimenopausal age, though issues relating to menopause are not significantly focused on, and the result of this is that the awareness of women of perimenopausal age on menopause is low; in fact, radio is not a significant source of menopause information for them. Deriving from the findings, it was recommended that radio do more to prioritise health information programmes with an emphasis on menopause information, and to achieve this, they could partner with Non-Governmental Organisations as well as the Nigerian Women Affairs Ministry for funding.","PeriodicalId":373869,"journal":{"name":"Formosa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122232777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article will provide an overview of the discussions on viral hepatitis, including pathogenesis, serologic markers, prevention and treatment strategies, and complications or sequelae associated with hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E. The pathogenesis section explores the distinct mechanisms of viral entry, replication, and immune response for each hepatitis virus, highlighting the importance of understanding these processes for targeted therapies and preventive measures. Serologic markers play a crucial role in the diagnosis of viral hepatitis, and their detection enables accurate diagnosis, differentiation of acute and chronic infections, and assessment of disease progression and treatment response. Prevention strategies, such as vaccination, safe injection practices, blood and organ screening, and safe sex practices, are essential for reducing the transmission and burden of viral hepatitis. Treatment strategies, including antiviral therapy and supportive care, are discussed for the management of chronic hepatitis and associated complications.","PeriodicalId":373869,"journal":{"name":"Formosa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125666407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
