P-values often reflect the probability of incorrectly concluding that a null hypothesized model is true; they do not provide information about other types of error that are also important for interpreting statistical results. Standard model selection criteria and test procedures are often inappropriate for comparing models with different numbers of random effects, due to constraints on the parameter space of the variance components. In this paper, we focused on a minimum Bayes factor proposed by Held and Ott (2018) and applied it to a balanced two way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with random effects under three cases namely: Case 1: both factors are fixed; Case 2: both factors are random; Case 3: factor A is fixed and factor B is random. We realized that in all the three cases, considered the Bayes factor indicates weak evidence against the null hypothesis of zero variability in the effects of the levels of the factors as well as the interactions. This result is due to the conservative nature of the minimum Bayes factor.","PeriodicalId":373869,"journal":{"name":"Formosa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121904449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem discussed in this study was the lack of management of merchandise inventory which often resulted in the shortage of stock. This research was conducted at Petra Women's Cooperative (Coop Mart) located at Jl. Antara Annex II No. 292 Plaju Palembang. The data used in this study were primary and secondary data. The method applied in the research was qualitative and quantitative analysis method. The results of this analysis showed that the management of merchandise inventory of Petra Women's Cooperative (Coop Mart) was not regularly carried out as seen from the calculation of inventory turnover, safety stock and reorder point which fluctuated. This was caused by the lack of control over the goods entry and exit, which would affect inventory. Therefore, inventory management analysis was very essential to do to prevent shortages of goods.","PeriodicalId":373869,"journal":{"name":"Formosa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131107297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study reports the findings of a survey examining the online teaching experiences of faculty members in HEIs and how the pandemic impacted the faculty work within the higher education setting. Participants consisted of selected faculty members from a local college in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Findings reveal that there were various techniques and preparations employed by the faculty members in order to conduct an effective and efficient remote and online learning experience for their students. Remote online learning also offers faculty members more options for engaging instructional activities. It allows them to be more resourceful considering that they cannot meet in person with their students as with the traditional teaching mode. Despite the constraints and restrictions in conducting classes online, such as poor internet service, restricted contact between teachers and students, to name a few, most of the respondents, nevertheless, assessed themselves to be still efficient and effective as teachers.","PeriodicalId":373869,"journal":{"name":"Formosa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"131 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127020188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, confusion appears in judging literary works that belong to a major and minor one. Implicitly, when a literary work is categorized as World Literature, it can clarify its position as the major one. Meanwhile, in fact, there are some considerations in categorizing a literary work into major or minor categories. This paper attempts to analyze the position of two Nigerian authors and their works; Chimamanda Adichie, the newbie author, and Chinua Achebe, a professional author. Though Adichie’s name appears in the anthology of World Literature and most of her novel’s theme is about social and political power, she is still categorized as the minor one. This categorization is later analyzed through the concept of minor literature by Deleuze and Guattari. This research applied qualitative and descriptive research methods in comparing and describing major and minor work. As the result, it is the language, political theme, and collective value that can signify the position of the two novels.","PeriodicalId":373869,"journal":{"name":"Formosa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115510945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study used a quantitative method with a questionnaire data collection technique. Questionnaires were distributed to 257 respondents consisting of accounting students in 2018, 2019 and 2020. The data analysis technique in this study was Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that attitude and behavioral control had a significant effect on the intention to apply whistleblowing, while subjective norms did not have a significant effect. Self efficacy has the potential to moderate the influence of attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control on the intention to implement whistleblowing. Thus, self-efficacy does not significantly moderate the effect of attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control on the intention to implement whistleblowing.","PeriodicalId":373869,"journal":{"name":"Formosa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"640 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121982735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
