A combination of a high-stability inductive voltage divider and a resistive voltage divider with stable ac-dc difference of voltage ratio are used to transfer the dc voltage ratio from a Josephson voltage standard to the divider under test. The method allows full automation and has a potential to achieve measurement uncertainties of the order of $0.1 mumathrm{V}/mathrm{V}$.","PeriodicalId":373216,"journal":{"name":"2020 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM)","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132848592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A null detection system with an IVD as a reference standard is constructed to allow attenuation at 1 kHz, 9 kHz, and 10 kHz to be measured accurately by comparing to the voltage ratio of the IVD. Attenuation in the frequency range of 100 kHz to 10 MHz is measured in the same procedure after being down converted to 1 kHz using heterodyne detection technique. A double step technique is introduced in measurements at 9 kHz and 10kHz to keep high accuracy results due to increasing of the IVD uncertainties. Higher dynamic range is obtained by installing toroidal ferrite chokes in the system to minimize common-mode leakages in the kilohertz frequency range. The measurement capability is expected to be larger than 60 dB with the expanded uncertainty range starting from 0.0016 dB.","PeriodicalId":373216,"journal":{"name":"2020 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM)","volume":"182 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124577748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The waveform to be measured is copied by the JAWS system. A conventional spectrum analyzer is used as a multi frequency null detector when the waveform and its JAWS copy are cancelled. We report the comparison of the Josephson spectrum analyzer with the classical approach used to measure harmonics present in waveforms, using a state of the art notch filter and a low noise amplifier. We also report measurements of the theoretically predicted-quantization harmonics, at −129 dBc, in a JAWS sinewave when a first order delta sigma modulator is used.","PeriodicalId":373216,"journal":{"name":"2020 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114790763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mass of the artefact was measured in vacuum with a standard uncertainty of about $50 mumathrm{g}$.
