But, in some situation forgiveness is impossible and is considered as being contrary to justice. Forgiveness is moral dilemma. Many questions why immoral and brutal victimizer should be forgiven, how to forgive and when to forgive etc. follow forgiveness. Arguments in favor of and against forgiveness conflict sharply. There is no one exact meaning of forgiveness. Whenever forgiveness is needed there should be different thinking and action accordingly. The major stem of the way Dardenne Brothers understand problems of forgiveness is the belief in the universal human rationality. So, dutiful feature of forgiveness and impossibility of forgiveness clash more vehemently. Victims are urged by universal rationality to forgive and victimizers’ unlucky environments work as excuses for their wrongdoings and the excuses hider them from seeking forgiveness to lessen the burden of misdeed. Therefore, in Dardenne Brothers’ films, forgiveness is not related with the practical usefulness of mending victims and securing victims’ welfare and the background of forgiveness is not made through immature resonance with and compassion for victimizers. For victims to proceed to forgive, moral anger is needed which enables victims look straightly the injustice and unfairness of affliction and confront objective interpretation of their injury. Moral anger does not aim self-eliminating forgiveness which feeble and forceless victims inevitably are forced to choose but aims forgiveness of humanity companionship and recovery. Dardenne Brothers’ films have challenging dilemma narrative of forgiveness which has well-plotted plausibility, correct unilateral and naïve understanding of forgiveness and renew our understanding of human values and social justice. These features make Dardenne Brothers’ films valuable.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127060880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, an expanded model called KWLC(Know-Want-Learn-Compare) was presented by analyzing the subject-determining teaching method and previous relevant studies. The proposed model was applied to three classes of college writing in the spring and fall semesters of 2022, and the results were analyzed through case studies. The results were as follows. First, the KWLC model made reading and writing easier through critical thinking. Second, the contents written in stage C played a decisive role in deriving the topic. Third, through stage C, thinking developed in the direction of paying attention not only to the “gap in knowledge” and “gap in thinking” but also to the “gap in objects,” enabling the reader to develop an extended theme beyond the subject of the given text. Fourth, KWLC was helpful in deriving specific and creative themes. It is expected that the KWLC instructional model of this study can be actively used to help the student realize the subject from their own perspective through critical and integrative thinking.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130507170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Students majoring in physical education have less interest in writing than other students, as physical education focuses on practical skills. Therefore, this study seeks to identify effective writing methods, focusing on “writing a paragraph.” This was actualized using the teaching plan of the writing class for students in the sports field at Hongik University. The results are as follows: First, the effect of “experience of completing articles” is high, and a higher effectiveness in Paragraph Writing was found. Second, after this class, a number of students showed progress in writing paragraphs. Finally, students gained confidence in writing by writing two paragraphs. It is hoped that this study will inspire further research on writing considering students‘majors.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116615314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to steadily practice the principles of being human, the Three kang(三綱) or the five principles(五倫) are actively recommended, and it is emphasized that others are encouraged to do good deeds and build up virtue. <ToegyeSeonsaengHwanriga(退溪先生歡理歌)> has several different versions showing illustrating the same narrative process. These are the three pieces of <LeeYulgokSeonsaenggwonseonga(李栗谷先生勸善歌)>, <Toegyeseonsaengkwonseongara(退溪先生勸善歌)> and <Kwonseonga(勸善歌)>, which are housed in the Korean Gasa Literature Museum. The composition of the work is generally similar between the different versions, but there are many differences in notation and omissions or typos in phrases or vocabulary. Above all, the point of attention while examining these different versions is the issue of the title of the work and the author. <Toegye SeonsaengHwanriga(退溪先生歡理歌)>, <LeeYulgokSeonsaenggwonseonga(李栗谷先 生勸善歌)>, and <ToegyeSeonsaengkwonseongara(退溪先生勸善歌)>, etc. are titled after the names of two thinkers who represent Joseon Neo-Confucianism, ‘Toegye’ and ‘Yulgok’, so the original authors of the works are identified as different persons. that it does. This can be found in the distribution process of gasa in the late Joseon Dynasty that reflected the times of the time. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we became habituated to visually checking the number of confirmed cases nationwide every morning. The number of confirmed cases is important because the number of deaths increases in proportion. For three years, we have been able to check the number of confirmed cases and deaths every day through media reports or government announcements. Literacy is an essential ability for individual communication and social participation. In particular, the importance of data literacy has been increasingly emphasized. We have become accustomed in the pandemic era to the confirmed cases, deaths, and fatalities expressed in numbers. In a correct understanding of data literacy, it is clear that this number means life. What this paper emphasizes is the numbers commonly encountered in the pandemic era, and the problem of life contained in those numbers. We have seen many “numbers” in three years, but have not looked closely at the life and people, the pain and tears hidden in these numbers. The number in a catastrophic infectious disease situation is life. The numbers we became used to during the pandemic meant life. We need to understand this more humanely. This is the data literacy of the COVID-19 pandemic that we need.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130131701","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results are as follows. The current status of writing genre education in textbooks A, B, and C was very different, and the information on writing genre provided in these textbooks was inadequate. However, the genre types in Korean textbooks in current use were more diverse than reported by Lee Mi-hye (2013). Moreover, genre types such as Internet bulletin boards, blogs, and text messages that are widely used in contemporary everyday life have also been presented in textbooks. Nevertheless, it was confirmed that the genre types were not systematically implemented in Korean textbooks according to proficiency. As a future task, deep discussions of how to present writing syllabus and genre knowledge in textbooks and arrange writing genre types by proficiency should be made first so that genre-oriented writing education can be effectively implemented in Korean textbooks for general-purpose learners.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"4 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123662857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fact, it goes without saying that most of Plato’s writings consist of dialogue, and that the form of discussion itself is communication. In communication studies, there is an example where Plato was studied as a pioneer of communication. Michael Deuce, Mary Brown, 『Plato’s Shadow』, Communication Books, 2012. However, the research is a communication study from the level of rhetoric. However, there are few examples of philosophical analysis of the dialogue form and content of texts in Plato’s studies so far. Not all Plato’s texts have a correlation between dialogue form and content. However, at least as far as 『Symposium』, dialogue and content have a close correlation. The author tried to approach it with the concept of ‘aesthetic communication’. The idea of aesthetic communication, which started from Kant’s aesthetics, is based on ‘common sense’. All human beings feel and admire beauty through the operation of reason and imagination in front of a beautiful object. However, the wonder and wonder of this beauty wants to share it with the people around it through the medium of ‘common sense’, and they actually do share to form a community. Hannah Arendt, who inherited this common sense of Kant as her own philosophy, develops Kantian aesthetics into a political philosophy. The author tried to read Kant's mechanism of aesthetic communication in Plato’s 『Symposium』. Plato cannot be Kant. However, in Plato’s 『Symposium』, both the personal eros of ancient Greek society, aphrodisia (sexual pleasure), and the political life, the eros of truth, are embodied. According to the author’s analysis, the communication of 『Symposium』 has the same historical tradition as Kant’s aesthetic communication about beauty. Therefore, in this study, I tried to analyze what conditions Plato’s 『Symposium』 have as an aesthetic communication and to reveal the possible reasons.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115207020","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Earlier, digital literacy consisted of a level of simple understanding and utilization of computer-based digital texts, but recently it has developed into the ability to diagnose and solve problems based on ethical awareness. In particular, COVID-19 is considered a major inflection point in digital literacy research in that it has resulted in the transfer of most of its activities from offline to online. Therefore, in this study, changes in domestic and international digital literacy research starting in 2020, when COVID-19 started and spread, and the implications thereof were analyzed. Network analysis was conducted by dividing 797 papers on the subject of domestic and international digital literacy into two periods based on their publication date, and quantitative changes in research, keyword frequency, keyword connection centrality, and cluster maps were identified. Research related to digital literacy has steadily increased in all periods in Korea and (except for the first period) abroad, but especially in Korea, which showed an increase of 180% in the second period. In addition, an examination of the keywords appearing in the study confirmed that the average number increased during the second period more than 2.5 times as much as during the first period in both domestic and international research, and the clusters also became more diversified. In addition, it was confirmed that “education” and direct and indirect keywords appeared as key research areas of digital literacy throughout the entire period, and from the first to the second period, digital literacy expanded from the ability to use simple digital tools to diagnosing and solving problems.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129515178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This stems from the view that ethical relationships are more fundamental than educational relationships. First, my relationship with others is based on a personal and collective ethical perspective. From this ethics, moral and ethical subjects can establish their own views on others and the world. Second, this ethical and philosophical relationship is useful in educational practice, especially teacher-student educational relationships. Therefore, the contribution of this study is twofold. It is the aspect of comparative analysis of Lévinas and Ricoeur’s philosophy of ‘others-me’ and the aspect of attempting philosophical reconciliation between ethical and educational relations. The goal of this study was to derive and propose a new educational relationship through an in-depth examination of ethical relationships. As a result, the education of others based on Lévinas’ philosophy and the education of mutual recognition based on Ricoeur’s philosophy were proposed. First, in the pedagogy of others, three themes were emphasized. 1° Double asymmetry of teacher-student relationship, 2° Relationship of domination and subjugation. 3° Pedagogy of the other as possibility education. Through these three elements, the characteristics of Lévinas’ pedagogy were discussed. Second, the pedagogy of mutual recognition also dealt with three topics. 1° Self-affirmation and the teacher-student educational relationship. 2° Caring and teacher-student educational relationships. 3° Mutual Recognition and Educational Relationships. These three themes are elements that represent Ricoeur’s pedagogy.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128597415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Critics say the author’s death will not come. However, it has a clue that it is ‘at the moment.’ AI’s learning principles and speed of development have exceeded human predictions. In the end, it is time to think about “how content and enjoyment will change due to AI” rather than insisting on “human’s unique domain” at a time when AI will be used as a tool for creation. Through discussions on the “Dezuka 2020 Project,” Otsuka Eiji’s “AI Literature”, Azuma Hiroki’s “Snobbism” and Ochiai Yoichi’s “Digital Nature”, Azuma Hiroki claims that “the author (human) will not be the only creator of the work, but will be a collaborator of the AI system that generates text.” Through this, it is much more productive to think about “what form of content AI-human collaboration will create” rather than saying that human territory remains for AI’s work that must go through human hands. This article argues that it is necessary to think about how the interaction between content and users will change the perception and attitude toward the world and how to respond to it.","PeriodicalId":372781,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association for Literacy","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114661321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
