The Lambda-scheme of level exciting and input pulses with duration 10-13-10-11 sec are considered. It is shown that under these conditions in the major frequency channel (pump) the new type of pulse with comb-like real envelope can arise. In the case of strict resonance in this channel comb-like pulse has the same structure as ordinary 0pi-pulse in the self-induced transparency theory. The distinctive feature of this pulse is the very slight attenuation during its propagation in the medium despite of fact that its duration is compatible with time of irreversible relaxation of quantum transitions","PeriodicalId":370622,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Workshop on Laser and Fiber-Optical Networks Modeling","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127110091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
