In order to validate an early screening of primary tumor patients, a developed a simple procedure or technique was demanded. The aims of this study were to provide an overview of alkaline Placental Alkaline Phosphatase activity in lung cancer. Using heating inactivation method regarding the measurement of Placental Alkaline Phosphatase activity as an early diagnosis marker in lung cancer cases. Total alkaline phosphatase and Placental alkaline phosphatase activity were measured in patients of Lung cancer patients who were classified according to the site of tumor by histological picture. ALP isoenzymes were identified by heat inactivation, and compared with the most frequently applied method (ELISA). Monitoring of the Total ALPand Placental ALPactivity in the studied groups using two different methods were shown a highly performance of heating method by an experimental assessment to confirm the accuracy and validity of the proposed method. The distribution of serum placental ALP isoenzyme activity in patients and control groups which was measured by two different methods were found to be (20.2-43.1) IU/Lrespectively (measured by heating method) and (394.3- 454.5) pg/mLmeasured by ELISA method) respectively. Placental ALP isoenzyme showed a high significant activity in lung cancer patients than healthy control with p value less than (0.05). That application of the heat inactivation method yields similar indication to the ones obtained by the highly and specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The results of detection Placental alkaline phosphatase in serum were in excellent agreement and could have a potentially extensive application for Placental alkaline phosphatase quantification.","PeriodicalId":368781,"journal":{"name":"Era's Journal of Medical Research","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127825935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, for example, are common treatment options that, when used in clinical settings, have both minimal drawbacks and major side effects. Currently, oral therapeutic medication delivery using targeted drug administration is proving to be effective. In recent years, an effective alternative therapy known as “nanomedicine,” or using nanoplatforms to deliver drugs for the treatment of cancer, has evolved. Thanks to the use of nanoplatforms, drug delivery to the tumour site can be done precisely and with minimal drug degradation in the body. As a result, the drug's toxicity is diminished, its concentration at the tumour site is elevated, and its distribution to other organs is kept to minimum. We present a contemporary review of the development medication delivery targeted for the treatment of oral cancer in this article different oral delivery systems, including as cyclodextrins, liposomes, hydrogel-based forms, and nanolipids are highlighted and explored. Biomimetic systems, such as therapeutic vitamins, proteins, exosomes, and virus-like particles, with a focus on cancer treatment, are also described. The study concludes with a brief analysis of future applications for nanoplatforms in the treatment of oral cancer.","PeriodicalId":368781,"journal":{"name":"Era's Journal of Medical Research","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131520918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By engaging in metacognition, human beings can actively manage and regulate what we do before, during and after the process or action. Although metacognitive awareness is a hidden psychological construct, it manifests itself in three ways, i.e. (i) metacognitive knowledge, (ii) metacognitive experience, and (iii) strategy use. Metacognitive knowledge includes person's knowledge, task knowledge as well as strategy knowledge. Strategy use includes language learning and language use. Metacognitive knowledge is an indicative knowledge about how one is thinking and learning can be positively or negatively influenced by internal factors such as personality traits, background strategic processes, as well as external factors such as the nature and demand of learning and communication tasks. This article focusses on how neuroscientific developments can inform teaching practice.","PeriodicalId":368781,"journal":{"name":"Era's Journal of Medical Research","volume":"267 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133416157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It preferentially occurring in upper aerodigestive tract. Rare case reports are presented in the classical age group with a poor prognosis. A 46 year's senior old male patient showed up to otorhinolaryngology department with chief complain of growth on base on left side of tongue and supra-glottic growth. On radiological evaluation by Multislice CT Scanning, a heterogeneously enhancing mass lesion measuring approximately 25×38 mm was noted at the base of tongue. On cytological evaluation of the lesion, highly cellular smear showed malignant morphology of the cells. Histological evaluation reveals a tumour mass in which neoplastic cells were composed of two different cell types – the majority of the cells population consisted of basaloid cells with abrupt association of foci of squamous cells suggesting basaloid variant of Squamous cell carcinoma. We brought this case for acknowledgment due to its rare occurrence, lower age of presentation, poor prognostic value as well as high metastatic potential.","PeriodicalId":368781,"journal":{"name":"Era's Journal of Medical Research","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134173734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Antibiotics are one of the life saving weapons for humans but over the past few decades these health benefits are under threat as antibiotics have become less effective and also create toxic after effects affecting human life more. The well-known medicinal herb Butea monosperma is a moderately Sizeable deciduous tree and is widely dispersed in Asian hemispheres, Burma and Sri Lanka. From time to time it has been used in traditional medicinal practices. It has been mentioned in ayurveda for medicinal uses and mythological references, also The population's health care system continues to be heavily influenced by traditional medical practises, homoeopathy, and folklore. Rural and tribal people utilise the herb extensively to treat a variety of ailments. It is known in many languages apart from its botanical name. It is called Flame of forest, Dhak, Palash etc. It has been used to treat a variety of illnesses including cancer, diabetes, dysentery, fever, jaundice, diarrhoea, and jaundice, among others. A great variety of phytochemicals, primarily flavonoids, lactones, diterpenoids, phytosterols, etc., are present in the plant's aerial portion. The need for new antimicrobial compounds from alternative sources has arisen as a result of the development of drug resistance in human infections against routinely used antibiotics. Folklore and ethnobotanical studies indicate Eugenia uniflora L is used in the treatment of gastrointestinal ailments and has exhibited diverse biological activities. We investigated the hepatoprotective potential of this plant in treating gentamycin-induced hepatoxicity and compared the effect with Celebrex a COX2 selective inhibitor. Twenty-eight male adult Wistar rats average of 225g were used for the study and randomised into groups as described: normal control( normal saline), negative control: Gentamycin (40mg/kg. i.p), positive control; Gentamycin (40mg/kg. i.p) +5mg/kg Celebrex. Extract low dose: Gentamycin (40mg/kg i.p)+(50mg/kg) Eugenia uniflora L. leaves, intermediate-dose: Gentamycin (40mg/kg i.p) +100mg/kg Eugenia uniflora L leaves, high dose : Gentamycin (40mg/kg, i.p)+ (200mg/kg, ) of Eugenia uniflora L leaves. Our findings indicate that the body weight was unaffected throughout the experiment, as clearly demonstrated by the lack of significant variability (p<0.05). Hepatotoxicity was confirmed by dose-dependent alteration in Liver marker enzymes, including AST, ALT, and ALP. Eugenia uniflora L leaves were able to ameliorate the levels of these liver enzymes to a normal level. Liver tissue revealed a dose-dependent curative effect with Eugenia uniflora L compared to the COX2 inhibitor (Celebrex) treatment. Consequently, we hereby report, for the first time, that an aqueous extract of Eugenia uniflora L leaves confers hepatoprotection against gentamycin-induced hepatoxicity in Wistar rats.","PeriodicalId":368781,"journal":{"name":"Era's Journal of Medical Research","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115736276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
