The source of the fields is an elementary electric dipole located at front of the screen and oriented arbitrarily. With the help of spectral-domain approach and Weyl's formulation, the electric field is first expressed in accurate and elementary functions. The obtained representations retain the following information for describing the electromagnetic properties of the screen. First, for dipole oriented along the wire elements, the reflected electric field is identified with the image fields and the transmitted field vanishes (the screen acts like a perfectly electrically conducting plane). Secondly, for dipole perpendicular to the wire elements, the reflected fields can be considered as arising from the images involving dipole and transmission-line source oriented in the conducting direction of screen, while the transmitted field is interpreted as the contribution of the image transmission-line source. In addition, the related surface waves which are also placed on some attentions in the paper.","PeriodicalId":368249,"journal":{"name":"IEEE/ACES International Conference on Wireless Communications and Applied Computational Electromagnetics, 2005.","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134095807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the calculation of these losses shows the regions of possible hot-spot temperatures with normal operational conditions. In particular the size reductions and performance improvements possible allow product developers to meet more closely the requirements of the market place. The realization of complete receiver front end has demonstrated clearly the potential of this technology to integrate complex RF functions into small, single modules. The scheme could better exploit the instantaneous channel variation by rearranging the transmitted symbols according to the quasi-instantaneous channel SNR of the OFDM frame. The purpose is to break up a long burst channel error so that overall bit error probability is reduced. The upper bound of pair wise error probability (PEB) of the MIMO-OFDM systems is investigated. The code gain and diversity gain of the proposed scheme are given. The result shows that the major factor affecting performance of the proposed scheme is SNR, channel order and the number of receive antenna. Extensive simulations show that significant SNR can be obtained with the proposed scheme and the MIMO-OFDM case has a performance improvement over the single antenna case. Compared with block interleaving, for 2Tx-2Rx case at a BER of 10/sup -2/, adaptive interleaving offers a 5 dB improvement.","PeriodicalId":368249,"journal":{"name":"IEEE/ACES International Conference on Wireless Communications and Applied Computational Electromagnetics, 2005.","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133518300","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The operation of the antenna is a function of the combined resonant behavior of the two structures as it switches between configurations. In the current configuration, two surface mount switches, hard wired for proof of concept, are used to switch between the two configurations. This approach to reconfiguration (demonstrated on a basic geometry) may be implemented on more complex antenna designs to further enhance their operation.","PeriodicalId":368249,"journal":{"name":"IEEE/ACES International Conference on Wireless Communications and Applied Computational Electromagnetics, 2005.","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133109052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
